It is a privilege to live and work at a time in history where we can study, learn and work with compassion to support ourselves, our clients and our communities in recovering from trauma. This book will be one of my most referred to and passed on books. Offering a number of pointers to new research about the brain and recovery, it offers hope in an accessible, kind and thoughtful presentation of the field, as well as pointing to social and political aspects that perpetuate trauma. A must read!
