Historia
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.

Historia
Renée Ballard works the night shift in Hollywood, beginning many investigations but finishing none, as each morning she turns her cases over to day shift detectives. A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. But one night she catches two cases she doesn't want to part with: the brutal beating of a prostitute left for dead in a parking lot and the killing of a young woman in a nightclub shooting. Ballard is determined not to give up at dawn.

Boring story poorly written
Revisado: 03-10-24
This is so trite. The victim is a transvestite drag queen and the criminal a white male, successful, but homophobe. This is a tired, preachy story.
Sorry I wasted a credit on it. I thought it was a Harry Bosch story. My fault for not paying close enough attention.

Historia
In 2019, veteran journalist Mark Seal began investigating the suspicious death of music mogul Peter Ikin. Just 32 days before he was found dead in his Paris hotel room, Ikin had married a handsome, debonair Frenchman named Alexandre, who would claim to be entitled to his late husband’s fortune. As Seal dug into the case, he had no idea that tracing the incredible life of Alexandre Despallieres would take him from Paris to London to Beverly Hills, and unspool a web of intricate plots and deceptions.

Historia
Murdered is the true story of the coldblooded killing of Sherri Rae Rasmussen, a 29 year old newlywed. Paul Christy's thrilling performance leaves the listener at the edge of his seat. Christy's voice reflects the journalistic and no-nonsense quality of Alexander's words. The narrative is detailed and thorough, without giving too much away too soon.

Too boring to get through chapter one
Revisado: 12-02-19
I was excited about this book because I enjoy mysteries and the Coast Guard and anything having to do with Murder at sea. However, I couldn't listen past the first chapter. There was no interesting hooks - nothing to grab my attention and get me interested or caring abut the characters. Very disappointing to have spent a credit on this book.

Historia
Detective Josie Quinn is horrified when she’s called to the house of a mother who had her newborn baby snatched from her arms. A woman caught fleeing the scene is Josie’s only lead, but when questioned it seems this mysterious girl doesn’t know who she is, where she’s from, or why she is so terrified.... Is she a witness, a suspect, or the next victim? As Josie digs deeper, a letter about a mix-up at a fertility clinic links the nameless girl and the missing child to a spate of killings across the county.

Creative Storyline - narrator is annoying
Revisado: 11-16-19
This is a well written story. The twists and turns are creative. I enjoyed following along as Josie investigated the mystery.
What I didn’t like was the narration. Does this narrator not speak English as a first language?
She consistently says “anathin” when she should say “anything” and she says “record” to rhyme with Chord vs curd. She mispronounced so many words it would take me too long to list them. I just had to do my best to let it go.
Where did they get this narrator?

Fantastic Story Told Very Well
Revisado: 10-13-19
This is an extraordinary story about a family tragedy that spans generations. The best part is that it is told by the people who lived it, and are still living it. Nothing boring, nothing amis, just pure great story-telling. This story spans 60 years of history across the world, including Iran, London, Israel and the U.S. It's very well done. I highly recommend it.

Always. He seeks the guidance of the biggest bad-ass he knows, his cousin Nick. Nick is a professional burglar and makes Jake his apprentice. Boring.....so slow
Revisado: 10-13-19
I tried to give this book every chance. I listened for seven chapters. It was so boring. The main character is likeable, which makes it even harder to read because it's moving so slowly you have to believe that something really bad and stupid is going to happen with this character. I will never know. This was a waste of my credit.
