Historia
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

Great!
Revisado: 03-27-18
A very simple concept, but one that I believe most men have a hard time articulating in today's culture. If you approach this book with the wrong mindset it can seem very traditional, but I believe the ideas are sound and if implemented in any marriage They will make a huge difference. I believe the acceptance of our differences as men and women With the ideas in this book You can improve many relationships in your life.
The only criticism I would have of this book is that I believe in an attempt to get buy in the author gets a little repetitive telling lots of different stories. I'm sure there is one that connects more than others So I guess it's a good thing , but if you buy into the ideas early in the book, it might seem a little repetitive.

Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

Solid.

Acuff does a great job keeping things simple. Any one of the concepts in the book could be the thing that changes someones path, which makes the fun, funny, simple read very worth it. Laughing during an audiobook makes it worth any price!

Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc's life. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn't swim. But what was the most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who called himself the "King of the Jungle". When Marc's mother tells him that his uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Uncle Jake is a for-real super-cool Navy SEAL. And Uncle Jake has a plan.

Historia
In The Social Organism, Luckett and Casey offer a revolutionary theory: social networks - to an astonishing degree - mimic the rules and functions of biological life. In sharing and replicating packets of information known as memes, the world's social media users are facilitating an evolutionary process just like the transfer of genetic information in living things. Memes are the basic building blocks of our culture, our social DNA. To master social media - and to make online content that impacts the world - you must start with the Social Organism.

Good but definitely biased...
Revisado: 01-19-17
I enjoyed the concept of this book, and completely agree with his examples and comparisons to biology, but the author presses an agenda, mostly unnecessarily, throughout the book. The only thing I appreciated about that, though, was the fact that you knew his personal beliefs but he still went down the road of advocating for free speech through social channels even though most with his same political bent seem to push for silencing the opposition. Good book overall, gets a little heavy (maybe just me) with some of the biology occasionally, but all good stuff...
