Historia
When western novelist Sadie Goodwin must pen a romance novel to rescue her lackluster sales, there’s only one tiny problem: she’s never been in love. Desperate to salvage her career, Sadie accepts an invitation to hole up at her friend’s beach duplex for the summer and devote herself to this confounding genre. After all, where better to witness love than on the beautiful South Carolina shore?

What a fun delightful book!
Revisado: 04-08-23
I loved the quotes at the beginning of each chapter that give clues to how the rom-com is progressing! I loved the premise of the story. Summer duplex neighbors come together to locate someone who owned a book that was left in the little library box. The book contains a treasure that the owner would want back. Ups and downs in the search and in the romance follow. It’s such a good book!!

Absolutely delightful!
Revisado: 03-15-23
Jen Turano always writes with so much humor in her books. Usually it’s due to the witty and quirky characters. This book was no exception. A matchmaker’s assistant during the “season” in Newport, RI finds herself not only searching our gentlemen for the ladies, but also ladies for a few gentlemen too. The book was delightful and the characters memorable! There is also a faith thread through the book. The narrator grows on you and I enjoyed listening.

Spiritual warfare !
Revisado: 02-27-23
This was very intense. Starts with two new age businesses in a court battle and not all the battles were physical. One Christian attorney and one non-Christian attorney battling each other and the spiritual forces. Wow! Intense. Good story.

1930s/current day split time enjoyable romance with a faith element too. The characters are flawed, but grow in life and love and relationships are wondrous. I have enjoyed this series, better to read in order, but can be stand-alone as well.

Excellent sequel. Grace is truly a novel-reading sleuth and finds herself in all kinds of trouble in Egypt. Will the love and protectiveness of her husband Frederick be enough to keep her safe? Love the humor and escapades. They do find themselves in danger; how can they escape? So good!! Love the narrator too…you can hear the humor in her voice at the appropriate times of course. Loved it!

Historia
Tenley Roth's first book was a runaway best seller. Now that her second book is due, she's locked in fear. Can she repeat her earlier success, or is she a fraud who has run out of inspiration? A century earlier, another woman wrote at the same desk with hopes and fears of her own. Birdie Shehorn is the daughter of the old-money Knickerbockers. Under the strict control of her mother, her every move is decided ahead of time, even whom she'll marry. Tenley and Birdie are from two very different worlds, but fate has bound them together.

Romance with twists and turns!
Revisado: 01-12-23
I really enjoyed this split-time romance based on a writing desk that two authors shared in different ages: Gilded age and today. You will love the twists and Chapter 32… but don’t read ahead… all in good time! Another really good, clean, faith-based book by Rachel Hauck!! As others have mentioned, the narration was a reader so at times it was harder to understand who was speaking, but I really enjoyed the book.

Gracelynn Ferguson never expected to take her elder sister’s place as a Christmas bride, but when she’s thrust into the choice, she will trust in her faithful novels and overactive imagination to help her not only win Frederick’s heart but also to solve the murder mystery of Havensbrook Hall.
