Absolutely loved the "Harry Dresden-esque" snark of the main character! I loved Mercy and how original and funny the story was! The narrator, however, made it hard to listen to. I can appreciate her talent and the work she clearly put in, but she just wasn't a good fit for me personally. I was given this book free in exchange for my honest review.

Really glad I gave this a proper chance ;)

Really creative take on witches and vampires! I almost had to stop before I got started due to the narrator, but I got used to it as I went on and heard her "do" other characters. I realized she was simply playing a teenager, not that she had an annoying voice. This is the first I've read of this author and I'm definitely looking forward to more :) Full disclosure, I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

With as much coverage as women's suffrage gets, it was wonderful to learn about womens' fights in the workforce as well. Both are important subjects, but one is written about much more extensively than the other. Most of the names here are ones I'd never heard of, but their stories were fascinating. Good Russian Book

There is a marked lack of good Russian language material on Audible compared to some other languages, so I was very happy to see this one come available. I was given a code for this in exchange for an honest review, and I have to say I have no complaints. It covered a variety of subjects, the narrator's Russian was clearly understandable, and she doesn't speak too quickly which can be a problem for learners like me. I can definitely recommend this one and look forward to more Russian books from Touri!

I've reviewed several of these now (via codes in exchange for an honest review) and I have yet to find one that I didn't like. They always give loads of vocabulary in an easy-to-understand way and this book is no exception. I always learn new and useful things with this series!! :)
