A fun and extraordinary adventure for all ages.
Revisado: 04-23-19
A great tale that can be enjoyed by persons of any age. It can sometimes be hard to identify the character speaking as the voices used by the narrator are very similar for the main protagonists but it does little to detract from the story.

Nice long omnibus with some character recurrence..
Revisado: 02-09-19
As can be true with any story, there are parts that are a little slow. That being said, at no point in the series do I feel like the author falls into a predictable pattern and the characters all have a uniqueness to them that allows you to both like and at times dislike them. Narrator is very consistent with character voices, which is another thing I appreciate.

Great LONG book series.

There are moments where it may seem to drag but there is almost always a reason for why he is explaining something. Great story, well narrated.

It started as a simple heist. It went to hell from there. On a space station orbiting a pale blue sun, a package changes hands. Data too sensitive to transmit will be exposed for one brief moment. The client is paying a crazy sum - if the job is clean. That’s not going to happen. Instead, the galaxy’s unluckiest crew of outlaws will have to put all their resources into salvaging what they can from the job. Even if it’s only avoiding blame for the fallout.

Engaging but too short, even for a short story...
Revisado: 12-15-15
First off, I am usually pretty critical of narrators, but this one does a great job. He has a good range of voices, allowing you to identify the character purely by voice.
The writing is good, but I definitely felt like we skipped over the climax and actually including the scenes would have made for a longer and better book.
The price... If I compare length to price on comparable audio books, the price is steep. At less than an hour, a comparable 10 hr book would be over $40.
Conclusions: I think it is a good teaser to get you to read the other books, but I'm not sure that the content delivers on the investment. Hopefully the series has a better page/time to dollar ratio.

Historia
The Kingdom of Charis and the Kingdom of Chisholm have joined together, pledged to stand against the tyranny of a corrupt Church. The youthful Queen Sharleyan of Chisholm has wed King Cayleb of Charis, forging a single dynasty, a single empire, dedicated to the defense of human freedom. Crowned Empress of that empire, Sharleyan has found in Cayleb's arms the love she never dared hope for in a "marriage of state." In Cayleb's cause, his defiance of the ruthless Group of Four who govern mother Church, she has found the task to which she can commit her mind and her courage.

Changed narrator. Preferred old one.
Revisado: 09-21-15
Great story. The new narrator uses accents willy-nilly without keeping similar ones to similar characters.
