Historia
Economics is broken. It has failed to predict, let alone prevent, financial crises that have shaken the foundations of our societies. Its outdated theories have permitted a world in which extreme poverty persists while the wealth of the super-rich grows year on year. And its blind spots have led to policies that are degrading the living world on a scale that threatens all of our futures. Can it be fixed?

Idealistic, provocative and preachy
Revisado: 01-18-18
Listened to it twice just to really get the hang it. Idealistic, provocative and preachy. Will follow the movement, not yet a fan.

Historia
Analyzing the political and banking history of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil through several centuries, Fragile by Design demonstrates that chronic banking crises and scarce credit are not accidents due to unforeseen circumstances. Rather, these fluctuations result from the complex bargains made between politicians, bankers, bank shareholders, depositors, debtors, and taxpayers.

Historical focus
Revisado: 05-08-17
Heavily focused on history, thus interesting if you are interested in the history of financial systems. Five countries thoroughly discussed as examples. The book is very long and could have been formatted in a more interesting way by better connecting the historical examples to modern systems.

Exploration of human behavior through computers
Revisado: 01-16-17
The book gives good food for thought. It relieved me of the stress of organizing and taught me when it is time to let go, stop.
You shouldn't be intimidated by the tech stuff.
