Excellent Story and Narration
Revisado: 01-02-25
I absolutley loved this audio book. This second installment of Dr. David Hunter surpassed the levels of the previous novel.
The characters were great and be liable, all with their demons, and the narration Harry Treadwau really brought them to life.
I'm already a fan of Beckett's writing and can't wait to listen to the next installment.

Against All Odds
Revisado: 10-29-24
This is a fascinating listen, not just to Spurs or even doorbell fs, but also those seekibf motivation. It is a story of perserverence and to never give up.
The title is well researched, written, and performed.
It is obvious the author has an immense respect for Ange as both the person and coach, but I felt it was written in awe of the man. A little more balance would have given the title 5 Starrs.

The grand opening is to take place in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Victoria. Great Story, Poor Production
Revisado: 06-13-23
I really enjoyed the story and the charecters. However the narration could have been better, but was seriously let day by the overall production and at times the audio quality.

Good but not as good as others in the series
Revisado: 04-17-23
I've been a little harsh with rating the story, whilst not bad, it is not nearly as good as the previous novels in this series. I found the story to be very unbeleiavle and lacked the depth of Ellis' precious work.
Armatige's narration, as always, is excellent and really brings life to the charecters to life.
If you enjoy this series read it.

Enthralling
Revisado: 03-29-23
This was a new author to me but I'm so glad I discovered her.
This tale had great charecter depth brought to life by Armatige's narration. From the very start, it was a hyperthetical page turner and I didn't want it to end.
I can't wait to listen to more novels from this author, I thoroughly recommend giving it a listen.

Loved the Story, Narration Irritated Me
Revisado: 03-09-23
I've previously read the book "Free To Trade" and really enjoyed it, so I decided to listen to another novel by Ridpath.
The story develops well and Ridpath does a great job of developing the charecters and making them all suspicious, providing motive for almost all of them. The story. Moves along at a nice pace, and I found myself spell bound by his story telling.
However, I found the narration poorly acted, and in my opinion, failed to really provide the emotion I woukd have found if I was actually reading it to myself. Eventually, I found it a little irritating after a while.
That being said, it would not deter me from listening to another of Michael Ridpath. He is an author I'm really pleased I discovered.

Dreadful
Revisado: 02-21-23
I'm usually a big fan of Ausibke's Radio Dramas but this has left me very disappointed.
The storyline was very shallow and uninspiring. The only thing that made this listenable was the cast and some great acting, particularly by John Lithgow.
I wouldn't encourage anyone to waste their time with this.

Wow, what a novel.
I really struggle to find anything to critise about this production.
The storyline moves along at a good pace yet there is plenty of charecter development. The narration by Robert Glenister really brings them to life.
I found this really difficult to put down and always wanted to listen to what happened next.
I will definetly be listening to more from this author and narrator.

A New Hero is Born
Revisado: 01-16-23
In one word, Excellent.
I've been a fan of Preston and Child for over 2 decades but haven't visited their work for many years, so decided to give this new series with a new charecter a try and I wasn't disappointed.
The characters were introduced with great depth and really brought to life by the dolcit tones of Glover, who gave a stellar e rformance bringing this story to life.
This tale gathers pace from the start and slowly builds to a crescendo at the finale. I really strgulled putting this title down as with the end of each chapter, it left me wanting to know what happened next.
If you like espionage, action and adventure, I thoroughly recommend you give this title a try.
