I enjoyed reading about Simon. I was in my late 20', early 30's when they were trying to identify what was happening today men. My brother was in medical school and took care of aids patients abandon (through fear) by other medical students. How Simon chose to conduct his life, while tragic, made sense. I learned reading about Simon. I enjoyed the narrator. She was easy to listen to and did a GREAT Gertie voice. After so much tragedy with Clara, Ruby was a delight. Thank you for an interesting experience!

Historia
Cast out of the royal court by Eleanor of Aquitaine, deemed too coarse and rough-hewn for marriage or courtly life, seventeen-year-old Marie de France is sent to England to be the new prioress of an impoverished abbey, its nuns on the brink of starvation and beset by disease. At first taken aback by the severity of her new life, Marie finds focus and love in collective life with her singular and mercurial sisters. In this crucible, Marie steadily supplants her desire for family, for her homeland, for the passions of her youth with something new to her.

I Ioved this book! Beautiful written by several authors and it flowed seamlessly. The women portrayed came alive both through the text and the narration. Looking back at the French Revolurion, reminded me for how long women have been marginalized.

A Reminder
Revisado: 02-27-19
This book brings the listeners back to center. For the past few years it has been very interesting, almost scary with the lies, fake news, and disregard for the FBI & DOJ. McCabe describes the process of becoming an agent and knowing all those requirements is assistive in understanding why a person who lies & cheats would want to discredit/destroy our justice system. Excellent book.
