Historia
Billy Jay Cader came from an abusive past. Self-preservation forced him to run away at the age of 14. His daddy was full of demons and played a sadistic game in a lottery-type punishment with his boy. When Billy Jay ran from his daddy, he hoped to outrun those demons as well. As time passed, he realized he hadn't been able to flee fast enough to escape them. Now those mental monsters were tightly nestled within. He was the new vessel to carry his daddy's wrath.

great start to a long series

knowing there is alot more to come in this series makes it hard to point out what I like and dislike. The character development for me is key to what I want to read/listen too . The main character development was great but the story kind of hits a wall and comes back around . Religion becomes the plot but leaves my mind wondering what happens next. That being said it gets pretty preachy .Ely paints a very vivid picture of the early years of the characters and that alone had me hooked. As for the narration i would say its pretty decent except his accent on a woman from new york sounding like shes from georgia. All in all I would listen again and I am starting the second book and plan to continue the series.
