Historia
Douglas Murray, #1 international bestselling author and renowned cultural commentator, confronts arguably the most pressing question of our time: Why are Western supporters of Palestine unwittingly aligning with an evil empire? The campus left frames the violent hostilities as white colonialists committing genocide. Yet only a third of Israelis are Ashkenazi Jews of European ancestry. Murray argues that the conflict is not a simple tale of oppressor versus oppressed, but a clash between a thriving multi-racial democracy and a death cult bent on its destruction.

Beautifully written and narrated. Moral clarity in a world that is desperately confused.
Revisado: 04-21-25
Murray has done a service to the future of civilization with this work. His witness to the events of October 7th and the war thereafter is both the plain reporting of a journalist and the simple moral observations of an unapologetic advocate of Western values. He is one of the very few brave intellectuals who calls out the twisted propaganda of radical Islamists who claim to support the Palestinians but are really just waging jihad against the West.

If you feel like the world is going crazy and the current obsession with race seems to be leading us nowhere good this book will help you articulate why that is. If you’re someone who thinks yelling and tweeting and accusing everyone of being racist is actually accomplishing anything, please read this book.

Historia
Mindf*ck goes deep inside Cambridge Analytica’s "American operations", which were driven by Steve Bannon’s vision to remake America and fueled by mysterious billionaire Robert Mercer’s money, as it weaponized and wielded the massive store of data it had harvested on individuals - in excess of 87 million - to disunite the United States and set Americans against each other. Bannon had long sensed that deep within America’s soul lurked an explosive tension. Cambridge Analytica had the data to prove it.

Great sanity check for those being tortured
Revisado: 07-05-19
I wish I had discovered this book earlier when I was at my last job with a psychopath boss who no one would stand up to. It's a practical guide with real, useful advice and helps you put the situation in perspective and re-examine your own unhelpful thought patterns. It's the friend you wish you had when you're being tortured by jerks at work!

Historia
We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.

It’s so well thought out and clearly the product of deep experience and expertise. It should be required reading - these people are out there and knowing how they operate is half the battle .

May be the most important management book ever for innovators!
Revisado: 10-04-17
I read obsessively about leadership and management and this book is different! The author's credibility is about as great as it gets and her framework is easy to understand and apply. Having worked in Israel for a decade and then returning to US, I agree with her completely- we are losing so much by undervaluing candor in our work culture.

Not what I expected but great
Revisado: 09-06-17
It was a lot more autobiography than I expected and I don't watch or care about network news, but Dan's honest account of his journey is fascinating. He's funny and neurotic and charming and also genuine about some of the realist struggles of our generation. It answered so many of my questions about meditation and was ultimately very uplifting!
