never getting another Emily Henry book
Revisado: 01-06-25
the only reason I kept listening was bcz I used a credit for this book. but I just had to bite the bullet and stop. I guess Im just not in a place to listen to a selfish, lost twenty something year old wah about her bestie with benefits. It was painful and towards the end all I kept thinking was shut up and move on!! I dont even care what happened to either of them.

Carstairs flexes his talents
Revisado: 11-14-24
I really enjoyed Carstairs engagement and his powers of deduction. And Mrs Polifax's 'different' introduction to the circumstances.

The coverart is pretty
Revisado: 05-18-24
I have liked other Bunn books but this one was confusing for me. I had to relisten to many chapters thinking I must have missed something only to find out..Nope! A whole bunch of "word salad" that didnt add value. I didnt know that this was going to be a series so when it ends as abruptly as it does I felt like I had just wasted my time. Again I relistened to the last few chapters just in case I missed something but Nope! I have read other series books that closing made me wanting more. This one left me with....Wait! Was that the End?? What?? I guess I had the wrong expectation. Dont feel like I'll read the next one.

Getting out of her own way
Revisado: 05-14-24
She had a huge Eeyore complex, understandably. But she forced herself to move beyond. At first only because its what she thought Mimi would have wanted for her but then finally her own wants and vulnerability started to speak louder. loved the reader. loved the characters especially Dianne.

I liked the layering of the various characters. There were some points when it became a bit long for me
