Terrible Narrator

Every time I listen to this series, I really struggle to get through this book because of the awful narrator.

Juvenile dialogue
Revisado: 08-07-15
What disappointed you about A Million Dirty Secrets?
The dialogue of Delaine was so immature and repetitive it became VERY annoying, not to mention her childish temper tantrums. Who acts like that? And if you think about it, she's being paid two million dollars to do a job...sex slave, but still a job she signed up for. So, who goes to work throwing constant temper tantrums?
What could C. L. Parker have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Give Delaine a more mature attitude and more mature word vocabulary. I mean seriously...coochie? It would have maybe been funny if she had called her vagina coochie, or agent coochie (shutter) once, but dozens of times? And please we got the point that Noah has an enormous penis the first SEVERAL times the word enormous was used. Invest in a thesaurus, please. Actually, if you just don't mention the characters' "girly bits" and "cock" so frequently then you won't need a thesaurus for other adjectives.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Male narrator was fine. I wish he had read the whole book, because the female narrator sounded like she was 15.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Million Dirty Secrets?
At least half of the sex scenes. WAY too much sex with almost no plot whatsoever. If they weren't having sex, Delaine was being a whiney, childish B****.
Any additional comments?
The book ended so abruptly it almost felt like it ended in the middle of a sentence. Weird! I almost stopped in the middle of the book to just return it, but I actually liked Noah and the male narrator, so I'm going to give the author a second chance and get the second book. I hope the author and female narrator took the reviews to heart. If the next book does not show improvements...I'm returning both!

Alden Ford is a horrible narrator.
Revisado: 04-28-15
Where does The Fiery Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love the series, but I really struggled to get through the books because of the new narrator Alden Ford's performance. His voice is so monotone that I found myself spacing off in the performance and unsure what I missed. Yet his voice is so grating I couldn't bring myself to rewind and find out. Ugh!
How could the performance have been better?
Redo the books with just Emily Shaffer as the narrator. Get rid of Alden Ford. He is SO incredibly awful at narrating. Please, please, please rerecord these books. AND give anyone who wasted their money on them the chance to exchange. I would really love to re-listen without Alden Ford's "performance".

Awful performance by narrator...Save your credit
Revisado: 09-05-14
Would you try another book from Linda Howard and/or Brenda Sweeney?
Linda Howard..,definitely. She is great. Granted, her older books don't compare in quality to her new ones, but they are still worth a read. I will always try her books.
Brenda Sweeney...NEVER
What didn’t you like about Brenda Sweeney’s performance?
The narrator was horrible. The voice used for the narration was okay, but the lead female sounded like an 8 year old child. Very annoying and distracting. Her performance was bland and lifeless.
