A+Thriller!
Revisado: 08-16-24
The story itself offers unanticipated twists that I found very clever.
I’m not typically a fan of one narrator, but was able to discern the multiple characters from one another- well done!

First Koontz I couldn’t finish
Revisado: 07-24-24
Love his bizarre novels, but can’t make any sense of this one. There are very few books that I don’t finish but I’m hours in and it’s not getting better.

Audio version doesn’t do justice to the story.
Revisado: 06-27-24
Tolerated the narration to finish the story. Interesting characters, plot and twists.
It was difficult to distinguish even the female character voices from one another and only one male character’s voice was identifiable.
The book is well-worth reading in hard copy.

A different Koontz from earlier books
Revisado: 04-21-24
Enjoyed the premise. Appreciate his descriptive language. Narration would have been far better if the male characters were presented by a man who offers a broad range of character voices.

“The End.” That’s all?
Revisado: 04-07-24
I enjoyed the story, chapter sequences and narration. If I’d known that “The End” would be the absence of an ending, I would’ve skipped this one.

Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

A Netflix Film?
Revisado: 07-31-23
I can't imagine why or how this book made its way into a film (particularly with such an outstanding cast!) Given the description and high rating from over 30,000 readers, I thought it would be a great listen for our 15-hour road trip. We listened to the entire book, waiting for the "good part." There was no "good part."
