Historia
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Excellent read!
Revisado: 06-10-24
I deeply enjoyed Burkeman’s philosophical rants and they seamlessly transitioned into practical examples of everyday experiences most of us share. The tips at the end were a bonus and lovely way to end the book. I highly recommend.

Historia
Who would imagine being friends with Eve - the woman who’s been held responsible for the fall of humanity (and cramps) for thousands of years? Certainly not Sarah Jakes Roberts. That is, not until Sarah discovered she is more like Eve than she cares to admit. Everyone faces trials, and everyone will mess up. But failure should not be the focus. Your focus should not be on who you were but rather the pursuit of who you can become.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Sarah Jakes Roberts provides an encouraging narrative that lends perspective to old biblical teachings.

Historia
A father's murder sets the stage for a riveting tale of intrigue and passion that also explores profound issues of faith and ethics. This classic novel - considered Dostoevsky's finest work - tells the story of crazed landowner Fyodor Karamazov and his four sons - Dmitry, Ivan, Alyosha, and the illegitimate Smerdyakov. Fyodor's murder sets the stage for a complex tangle of moral and ethical struggles that involve patricide, betrayal, sacrifice, and glory.

Great story!
Revisado: 04-23-23
The story line is amazing! I have to admit it was a bit challenging to follow so I would have to restart chapters or rewind several minutes quite often. The names of the characters are hard to follow when you don’t have a hard copy of the text to help. I also noticed that the audiobook and hard copy are not the same length so there’s much of the story missing (I believe). I will have to attempt to find time to read the hardcopy now to make sure.

As someone who is trying to unlearn all of the bad financial habits I’ve been taught, Robert’s practical lessons are very easy to digest. I’ve also purchased his other books and plan on implementing as much as I can into my life. Thank you Robert!

Such a beautiful and enjoyable text. I love how the chapters are short and easy to listen to throughout the day without feeling like you need to go all the way back to revisit what was said before. I especially love Tabitha’s vulnerability when sharing about her mother. Thank you for bringing us into your world Tabitha!
