Cross the Third Line!
Revisado: 09-16-17
If you could sum up The Christian Atheist in three words, what would they be?
Life's greatest challenge!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Craig G. illustrates examples from his own life over and over again, making this a very practical book, as well as extremely challenging.
What does Tom Schiff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Vocal narration served to bring home many points that I would have missed or simply ignored when presented in cold print.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Painting the "real" Christians as being "recovering atheists" didn't make sense to me at first, but then I began to see what the author was driving at and calling for.
Any additional comments?
Definitely worth the time and effort, both in listening and in application.

Historia
This is the story of a man who said that he would stop the motor of the world - and did. Is he a destroyer or a liberator? Why does he fight his hardest battle not against his enemies, but against the woman he loves? Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus and launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon.

King Caspian Says: Buy this Book!
Revisado: 03-06-17
What did you love best about Atlas Shrugged?
This book redefined excellence for me. I recognize as a Christian minister that I am "not supposed to like it" since it was written by a firm atheist. But it is one of the most anti-socialist, pro-individual and pro-creativity books I have ever seen.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Atlas Shrugged?
This book is so long that there are too many to mention.
Which character – as performed by Christopher Hurt – was your favorite?
Francisco D'Anconia.
If you could rename Atlas Shrugged, what would you call it?
To Find The Best Within Us.
Any additional comments?
Fair warning: this is NOT a book for children! Strong adult themes and rabid atheism, as well as twisted politics and twisted history. Rated R for RESTRICTED.

Vlad Taltos is very good at killing people. That, combined with two faithful companions and a talent for witchcraft, makes him an assassin par excellence. But lately his heart just hasn't been in his work, so he decides to retire. Unfortunately, old enemies have scores to settle with Vlad. So much for retirement!

Stephen Brust Does It Again!
Revisado: 03-05-17
Where does Athyra rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Not one of my very favorites, but still quite excellent,
Who was your favorite character and why?
Vlad Taltos. I never expected to become sympathetic to an assassin, but the character is very finely drawn.
What does Bernard Setaro Clark bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Clark was the perfect choice for this series. I enjoyed his narration for the same reasons I enjoy all audio books, because reading in silence is simply a different (and sometimes a lesser) sensory experience.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
NO SPOILERS!
Any additional comments?
I appreciate this whole series. The prose is surprisingly clean for a book about an assassin. This character would be a challenge to meet in Veritasia. Rated PG-13,

Historia
Robert A. Heinlein is widely and justly regarded as the greatest practitioner of the art of science fiction who has ever lived. Here are two of his greatest short novels: Gulf, in which the greatest super-spy of them all is revealed as the leader of a league of supermen and women who can’t quite decide what to do with the rest of us. And Lost Legacy, in which it is proved that we are all members of that league - or would be, if we but had eyes to see.

The Work of a Grand Master
Revisado: 03-02-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this audio book to a friend. The story values have held up for more than 6 decades.
What other book might you compare Assignment in Eternity to and why?
Heinlien is a Grand Master because his work stands alone. It can only be "compared" to itself.
Have you listened to any of Bronson Pinchot’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to any other of Bronson Pinchot's performances. I am looking forward to more of them.

Historia
They called him unfit to rule - a lowborn, callow boy, Uther's bastard. But his coming had been foretold in the songs of the bard Taliesin. He had learned powerful secrets at the knee of the mystical sage Merlin. He was Arthur, Pendragon of the Island of the Mighty - who would rise to legendary greatness in a Britain torn by violence, greed, and war, who would usher in a glorious reign of peace and prosperity, and who would fall at the treacherous hands of the one he loved more than life. This is the third book of The Pendragon Cycle.

A Strongly Christian Take on the Arthur Legend
Revisado: 02-23-17
If you could sum up Arthur in three words, what would they be?
Stirring Christian Fantasy!
What did you like best about this story?
As long as this book was, not a single moment was boring. I would not have gotten the nuances of this story out of a paper book.
What about Frederick Davidson’s performance did you like?
The narrator's performance was strong and dramatic throughout, which is an impressive feat over 18 man-hours.
If you could rename Arthur, what would you call it?
I think the original title and sub-title were perfect. I would not want to change them.

For more than two thousand years, The Art of War has stood as a cornerstone of Chinese culture, a lucid epigrammatic text that reveals as much about human psychology, politics, and economics as it does about battlefield strategy. The influence of Sun-Tzu's text has grown tremendously in the West in recent years, with military leaders, politicians, and corporate executives alike finding valuable insight in these ancient words.

Still Good After 500 Years!
Revisado: 02-13-17
Where does The Arabian Nights rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This edition is not quite as good as The Arabian Nights Entertainment which is from an older translation, and it does not actually include anything about the original legend. Still, it has been well worth the listening time.
What did you like best about this story?
My favorite parts were the 7 voyages of Sinbad the Sailor.
Which scene was your favorite?
No Spoilers!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wanted to listen straight through but the story was too long for that. Definitely good for long car trips.
