The story... And the narrator!

I loved this book way more than I thought I would. But special shout out to the narrator. I usually HATE autobiographies not narrated by the author. This guy was AMAZING. I felt like he brought the essence of Shaq. 11/10 he was the best man to read this book. Maybe better than Shaq himself!! Lol

RIP to the greatest

I didn't listen to this until after his death. It was a great look into the foundation of this amazing man. His curiosity and passion are truly inspiring. It was interesting to hear his perspective as a chef and someone who seemed to only have traveled a little bit at the time. It all started with an oyster.

Worth checking out

Without a doubt there is a ton of value here. But, I also feel the book is loaded with fluff.

Again, I would still recommend this for some ideas and inspiration... But I could have done without the constant case studies always referring to Gary Vaynerchuks old book and how amazing it was. Who needs to hear about how amazing his old book was? Relax Gary! Lol

Also, the constant pitching of snapchat felt dirty to me. He didn't mention he's a shareholder in the company so it seemed disingenuous to spend that much time explaining the value of snapchat when there's an obvious vested interest. Made me second guess everything else he gave testimonial to.

I got value from the motivation though. While I've grown a few successful businesses now, I struggle with creating content. This book helped me get over myself and the fear of being a narcissistic prick. I needed that perspective, and for that I overall enjoyed this book. And would recommend.

How many more great books does this man have in him? Truly amazing. I will listen to this again within the year. So densely packed. No fluff. And very timely for me. Highly recommend.
