Disappointing Addition

This is the first of the Frontlines books that I haven't enjoyed. Alex was an uninspiring main character. She rarely made any decisions that had a direct impact on her story. I found myself quite bored and uninterested, a first for a Marko Kloos book. I would skip this book and stick the the main series.

I thought the performance was pretty solid. I found Solomon to be a fairly week main character. He was lauded as super intelligent, but lacked creative solutions and basically just waited for everyone else to step up and save him.

Holy cow, this rocked my socks off! I wasn't sure about a new co-author and narrator, but my fears were unfounded. Larry and Sarah knocked it out of the park. It was a perfect mix of dread, explosions, and humor. I will be listening to it again soon.

Incredible follow up to Son of the Black Sword!

This was a phenomenal sequel to an already excellent book. It built on an interesting universe all the while driving the story forward. Ashok is a great character, but Jagdish, Devedas, Sikasso, and Omand steal the show. I cannot wait for Destroyer of Worlds!
