Historia
Brian Murray was not an investment pro when he bought his first commercial property. He was a teacher looking to build some side income. Armed with his passion for business and a lot of common sense, he developed a simple yet highly effective approach to investing that he still uses today at his multimillion-dollar real estate company.

Great introduction to a beginner investor
Revisado: 03-18-24
This was the first book I've read read on Commercial Real Estate. I enjoyed this book because the author gave real-world examples and really pushed that CRE was not a key to getting rich quick. One messaged he really emphasized was "DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB". You should go into CRE with a clear head and a spirit of discernment.
I recommend this book to the DAY 1 investor who doesn't know anything about CRE and is looking to figure out what the ABC's are.

Historia
Earth's armed forces have stopped the Lanky advance and chased their ships out of the solar system, but for CDC officer Andrew Grayson, the war feels anything but won. On Mars, the grinding duty of flushing out the twenty-meter-tall alien invaders from their burrows underground is wearing down troops and equipment at an alarming rate. And for the remaining extrasolar colonies, the threat of a Lanky attack is ever present.

This book is FILLER, plain and simple FILLER
Revisado: 07-27-22
I was disappointed in this book. Which says a lot because I LOVE THE SERIES overall. The Luke Daniels was top notch as always. His narration is what allowed me to stay the course and finish the book even though the book lacked a lot of substance. It was so bad that I actually SKIPPED entire portions because I got tired of hearing Andrew talk about the beautiful Vermont weather and his love for his wife and blah blah blah. After the 3rd time, it became seriously annoying.
I did appreciate the portion of the book focused on Andrew's PTSD. I think it is important to discuss how being at war for YEARS can have an affect on a person in mild and even significant ways. Marko did a good job in writing in the Officer's Wardroom in such a way that you actually SYMPATHIZED with Captian Beals and saw things from his perspective.
Overall, this book was not worth the credit. I'm hopefully that the remainder of the series is better.

MAJ Masood & LT Dorian are the stars of this story
Revisado: 07-14-22
Of course Grayson is the Protagonist, but the real stars of this book are MAJ Masood & LT Dorian. Even though they are narrated by the same person, the Narrator does such a great job bringing them to life that you actually are EAGER to hear more about their progression through the battles than the Graysons.

Narrator makes this great story even better
Revisado: 07-03-22
I finished this book and can't wait to move on to the 3rd. i like how then author doesn't make Grayson a super hero who takes Command and saves the day every time. sometimes shit goes really bad with no happy resolution.

Historia
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

This was a great, but shot story.
Revisado: 06-25-22
I really enjoyed this story. I wish the author did a bit more world-building in the beginning of the novel so you can have a better understanding of just how and WHY the world is the way it is. It seemed as if the author decided to "fill in the blanks" in the last couple of chapters so you could say, "OH. . .SO THAT'S WHY THEY DO XYZ".
IN terms of characters, I was plesantly surprised with how he depicted the love story between the Protaganist and his female companion. I thought for certain it was gonna end up like what happened in Starship Troopers (The Movie). However, it was written in a believeable manner.
I hate the way the story ended, because it really left a lot of unanswered questions, but considering this is just Book 1, then I"m hoping the author will answer them in the next one.

Historia
Captain Keyes is loved by the public but hated by Command. He captains the UHS Providence, an aging supercarrier and the last human ship not dependent on dark tech - technology humanity has used to rule over the galaxy since barely defeating the Ixa in the First Galactic War. Dominance has come at a cost. Over the decades, old allies have grown resentful, and when dark tech itself fails, Captain Keyes’ predictions start coming true: those old allies are now enemies.

"Trump is the wrong man for the job"
Revisado: 07-16-21
Bob's quote at the end of the novel perfectly summarizes the Trump presidency.
Over months of interviews with U.S. President Donald Trump, veteran journalist Bob Woodward says he has become convinced by "overwhelming evidence" that "Trump is the wrong man for the job."
This book does a great job of giving you an inside look into the mind of the former President. Even for news-junkies like myself, it was nice to learn what thoughts were going thru Trumps mind at the time that these major events were happening. What is so interesting is that for all of the "FAKE NEWS" that Trump would rail and complain against, this book does a great job of taking HIS WORDS and showing that he actually believed what he was saying or did.

Historia
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

The pacing is too slow and tedius.
Revisado: 07-15-21
R.C. Bray is great as always. I gave the book 4 stars in terms of Performance jsut for his narration alone. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the book becasue it because so tedius and slow. I made it 14 chapters and I still couldn't get excited or "hooked" on anything. The author would spend so much time and detail on details that you THINK were significant, but then the chapter ends and you're like, "wait. . .what was the point of all of that.
I honestly wish I hadn't used a credit on this book.

Great story idea, but the Narrator detracts
Revisado: 04-19-21
I enjoyed the premise of the story and how the author gets the nuances of the law correct. However, the narrator really needs to work on differentiating their voices. It took effort to keep track of who was talking BECAUSE THEY ALL SOUNDED THE SAME!
