Absolutely delightful.

I loved it. It would be difficult to mess up this story and I was happy to see that all Jane Austen's witty dialogue was kept in. The cast were near perfect, a few American pronunciations snuck in, but being English I would notice them, but I was really impressed by all the cast. Miriam Margolyes was perfect. A great dramatisation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it could have been written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself. Everything about this book was excellent and the narrator was first class.
A really gripping story from start to finish.

,The story and was fine, a little predicable but okay. The performance was okay. But,if I had been reading instead of listening whilst sewing, I think I would have thrown the book across the room. The main character, Melanie, was exasperating. I can't remember when a character annoyed me so much. There were many mutterings of " For Pete's sake!" and "For crying out loud,!" I nearly gave up a few times, but I wanted to see what happened in the end.

I have really enjoyed this series, I hope that it continues. Enjoyable characters and an entertaining plot, what more do you need? Oh, and no expletives, hooray!!!

The story is quite good but I had not appreciated how much religion would come in to it. I enjoyed the story and wished that Bailey have stood up to Tom at the end. I will not be listening to it again, though.

Couldn't finish it.

I just couldn't finish this book, the narrator drove me crazy. The story had promise, but was nothing special, nothing to set it apart from other similar stories. I just couldn't stand to listen anymore. The female characters sounded like they were about fourteen and the males were not convincing at all. I realise it is difficulty to sound like the opposite sex, but many narrators manage to just by modulating the tone of the voice.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the other Fools Gold stories, but this one made me want to scream, 'You didn't do anything wrong, stop apologizing.' I wanted to give Liz a good shake and Ethan a good slap.
Starting book No.3 right now.
By the way, love Tanya Eby's narration.

An exciting drama, well acted by all. The sub plots could be a little confusing and the ending was a surprise to say the least. I couldn't believe that the story came to such an abrupt stop and I'm desperate to know what is going to happen to all the characters.

I love the Charles Paris stories. Bill Nighy is perfect in the role. I laughed out loud (very loud) on many occasions. The stories are very English, as are the characters , perhaps that should read eccentric, but that just adds to their charm. Can't wait for more of them.
