Historia
There was no doubt about it, Felicity Oldfield’s grand London adventure had commenced. First, she had been abducted by a peer of the realm, released, then in less than a few hours she had arrived in London for the post of governess, been cast off without a sou, walked the streets of London alone, been pursued by a young gentleman, met a man of bad character who might have led her onto a path of ruination, saved by a rich and fashionable couple in their velvet-lined coach, and was even now being taken to her mad Aunt Ellingham where she expected to be treated appallingly....

Louisa May Alcott portrays a writer as worthy of interest in her own right as her most famous character, Jo March, and addresses all aspects of Alcott's life: the effect of her father's self-indulgent utopian schemes; her family's chronic economic difficulties and frequent uprootings; her experience as a nurse in the Civil War; and the loss of her health and frequent recourse to opiates in search of relief from migraines, insomnia, and symptomatic pain.

I always knew I liked this lady. I felt from her books that she was sad and disappointed with her life. I am glad I know her story and will read all of her writing with this bio running around in my mind.

True Love Never Ever Goes Away
Revisado: 12-17-22
I understand both of the people in this story. Mary just wanted people mostly Jeff, to realize she was something special and even though Jeff, already knew that I believe he did not want to push beyond what they were. Still their comes a time when the blinders are torn off and TADA you find out your best friend is the love of your life.

I do not know which of the ladies in this story I am more like I just feel like I am am in love with them as people!! I can imagine being friendly with them both and trying to pull ourselves together and figure out how to go on after losing our Father in death. I am so pleased they did not give up with out a FIGHT even though I felt like at some points they were like I am so done!!!
I listened to this whole AMAZING story Saturday night because it just felt completely PERFECT to fall to sleep with Jane.s words running through my mind.

Historia
Certainly the two should never have met. The handsome, wealthy Marquess of Rockingham was the most notorious man in London, as infamous for his violent temper as he was for his intemperate ways. Miss Lucinda Westerville was a country vicar's daughter, as innocent as she was lovely and as proper as a young lady could possibly be. Yet when this improbably matched pair met at a glittering social ball, they had struck the dubious bargain to become man and wife.

I kept laughing out loud at the antics of the couple. also I wanted to cryout at them to STOP arguing and really talk to one another! I firmly believe a lot of the crazy things that happened in this WILD story could have been avoided if they just put ther pride aside and spoke honestly with one another.
