The story was fine, but the narrator was awful. He read in fits and stops. Sometimes he would read only two or three words then pause. It was so choppy I could not even complete listening.

The worse narration ever

The story was good enough, but the narrator was very hard to listen to. She had this strange whispery voice that sounded like someone on their deathbed trying to get out their last words. On top of that her words ended in a "th" sound. I don't know, maybe it's some kind of speech impediment, but it does not make for pleasant listening. I should have returned the book.

I couldn't even get past chapter 2 because the voice of the narrator was so annoying. I gave the story a 3 because the review would not be accepted without some thing in that field. I may have deserved a higher rating.

Luck would have it that she met Darcy at the Netherfield Ball. Elizabeth brought up her wishes not to enter a forced marriage with Mr. Collins. Darcy then tells her his idea of how he can help by marrying her instead, due to being put under pressure by his own family to get married soon. Elizabeth doesn’t know which one would be better - a forced marriage with Mr. Collins or a marriage of convenience with Darcy.

The premise was promising, but poorly executed. The characters are not true to canon, and there are so many inconsistencies that I was appalled. The language was not true to the period, for example one character spoke of "my man" when a regency woman would speak of her beau. Don't waste your money.
