Historia
Following a convention in the Scottish Highlands, eight social media influencers vanish without a trace, leaving their followers–and families–in a state of shock, and the police clueless as to their whereabouts. And then, the livestreams begin. Broadcast live from their squalid underground cells, the young influencers are forced into a sadistic battle for survival. With each livestream, their captor pits them against each other in a twisted competition for likes. The influencer with the fewest positive reactions faces a gruesome end–live on camera.

The change of storyline
Revisado: 01-28-25
I liked that we see things going in a different direction. Its time to change and expand everyones story. Even Tyler seems to be adjusting.

Historia
Welcome to the Misfit Mob... It's where Police Scotland dumps the officers it can't get rid of but wants to: the outcasts, the troublemakers, the compromised. Officers like DC Callum MacGregor, lumbered with all the boring go-nowhere cases. So when an ancient mummy turns up at the Oldcastle tip, it's his job to find out which museum it's been stolen from. But then Callum uncovers links between his ancient corpse and three missing young men, and life starts to get a lot more interesting.

Not bad
Revisado: 11-16-24
The author spends too much time waxing on about everything! The lead character whines too much, he’s supposed to be a grown man and a policeman. Yes he’s a rough time but get over it, however this is common with the writer. The sound effects are rathet juvenile.
The plot was good and the narrator was excellent.

Historia
Detective Constable Angus MacVicar has just landed his dream job – transferred out of uniform and assigned to Oldcastle’s biggest ongoing murder investigation: Operation Telegram, hunting the “Fortnight Killer”. Every two weeks another couple is targeted. One victim is left at the scene, their corpse used as a twisted message board. The second body is never seen again. This should be the perfect chance for Angus to prove himself, but instead of working on the investigation’s front line, he’s lumbered with the forensic psychologist from hell.

A great read!!
Revisado: 09-28-24
This book was very captivating, loved the back and forth with Angus & other characters in his thoughts. It was a very well thought out plot, and the characters were nicely “fleshed out”.
The sound effects were an interesting touch but sometimes a bit much.
I really enjoyed the book and of course Angus King is always a delight.
I look forward to other books by Mr MacBride. Thank you

This book is more like it! Much more interesting scenarios, I was truly interested throughout the story & eager for the next. I thought the characters had some good development but alas DC Neish is always going to be a juvenile lol
And it goes without saying Angus King is the absolute best narrator!

The lack of discipline, to the point of being inane!!
Revisado: 05-14-24
I have always loved these books but it’s time for some changes in this dept, it’s not cute anymore. If Jack is a great policeman he wouldn’t put up with this nonsense! I couldn’t finish it, I’ve always been anxious for a new one to be released but if the characters continue in this vein, nope. Linda Allen

Historia
Cameron Winter was born with the ability to recreate detailed crime scenes in his imagination and dissect the motives and encounters that produced them. And after reading a puzzling news story about a wealthy family killed in a small town in the Chicago suburbs, he can't resist the chance to apply this deductive power in the pursuit of justice for the victims. Three members of the family, along with their live-in nanny, were pulled from their burning mansion, already dead from gunshot wounds. The only survivor is a young boy whose memory of the event raises more questions than answers.

Revisado: 02-18-24
I liked the story and characters, what I didn’t like was the different narrators. The main narrator was great but the other characters, it was like a high school play especially the women, just didn’t pull it off.

I just don’t know…
Revisado: 11-03-23
I’ve been loving John Sandford books forever but now I do not like the new narrator. It’s not his fault but just doesn’t do justice to the story and this one was just different. Virgil & Lucas seem anemic, I rather go back to the old ones than listen to this new stuff.
