Historia
Piper Adams is completely, totally, one hundred percent over Wyatt, the former love of her life. At least, that’s what she tells herself. After he broke her heart, she stopped taking risks and focused instead on building a perfect—and perfectly safe—life. But bumping into Wyatt at the airport on the way to her best friend’s destination wedding wasn’t part of the plan. Neither was a canceled flight nor Wyatt’s offer of a ride on the tiny plane he’s flying to attend the same event.

This book is giving 1980’s Blue Lagoon vibes with a modern twist. I loved the island metaphors incorporated into the story, it felt like I was on that island with them, watching the sun set over the horizon, hearing the lively sound of bugs and other wildlife at night, the feeling sand beneath my feet and the hot beaming sun. I really enjoyed this book and give it a solid 4.25 stars.

Historia
Julian was the boy next door. My brother's best friend, he fit with my family in ways I never could. While he and Rhett went on to play house, I left the only life I knew, desperate for a fresh start. Until everything changed. Heartache came along, and the aftermath of my brother's death was here to stay. I was now face to face with Julian more than I ever wanted to be. Being around him brought up all my insecurities, forced me to deal with hard truths, and conjured up feelings I had no business entertaining. He wasn't the man I thought I knew.

Love & Grief
Revisado: 04-14-25
This book pulled at the heart strings. The line between love & grief blurred when it comes to being there for one another through a difficult time. The relationship they build from both sides is beautiful as they become stronger together. I’ve never read a Marley Valentine book before but this was a good first, especially on audio. Really great writing, and even better delivery by both narrators! Almost poetic yet somehow still allows humor even though the context is serious and sad. I’d give this book a solid 4.25 stars for the writing and performance alone.

There's no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

“Color in a world full of grey”
Revisado: 04-09-25
“I want to witness each other’s lives.”
This book was all the things. Abby Jimenez has the tendency to create the perfect specimen, the perfect parallels, the perfect love story. I can’t help but favor the male character every time, so much swoon at the way they pine after their woman. I’m obsessed.
It this book was real-life, raw, emotional, beautiful, sad, and every emotion in between. It was relatable (not for me, but I can empathize), and true adulting when it comes to making hard decisions for love. Each character resonated with me in some way, shape, or form. It was a well-rounded story.
I recommend this book if you want to feel all the things, especially the love.
