Hard fight for all involved
Revisado: 04-06-18
I really enjoyed the book. It was well written and the narrator does a good job, the only complaint I have is that the narrator would interchange voices in the middle of conversations but overall he does a great job

Historia
Gifted with meta-human powers, Tori Rivas kept away from the limelight, preferring to work as a thief in the shadows. But when she's captured trying to rob a vault that belongs to a secret guild of villains, she's offered a hard choice: prove she has what it takes to join them or be eliminated. Apprenticed to one of the world's most powerful (and supposedly dead) villains, she is thrust into a strange world where the lines that divide superheroes and criminals are more complex than they seem.

Evil can be a rewarding job
Revisado: 09-14-17
Fun start to a series the good guys and bad guys tolerate and work with each other in a backhanded sort of way. The main character is a strong woman who needs some work and she finds it from her sponsor but always knows she is on a short leash. There is some good interplay with the main characters and there are some fun moments in the book. I liked it.

end of an era
Revisado: 06-17-17
Loved the series, he was every man with troubles and trials. I wish he could have had a bit more uplifting experience but I did not write the books. In all the books he tries his best and the world is a better place for it. I just wish he could have enjoyed what he did with his life more. Will read the whole series again.

Historia
FitzChivalry - royal bastard and former king’s assassin - has left his life of intrigue behind. As far as the rest of the world knows, FitzChivalry Farseer is dead and buried. Masquerading as Tom Badgerlock, Fitz is now married to his childhood sweetheart, Molly, and leading the quiet life of a country squire. Though Fitz is haunted by the disappearance of the Fool, who did so much to shape Fitz into the man he has become, such private hurts are put aside in the business of daily life, at least until the appearance of menacing, pale-skinned strangers casts a sinister shadow over Fitz’s past...and his future.

Self loathing at its finest
Revisado: 08-27-14
Having read all of the other Fitz books I was looking forward to listening to the latest to come out on audible. I remembered he always had self doubt in the other books but good grief by the end of the book you listen to things with the thought "how is it his fault this time". I will come back and listen to the next one in the series it is a good start, other than his self loathing. The book is mainly a background book to set up the series, one can only hope that in the next book he tells some people to "go to hell".

Epic start to a series
Revisado: 08-31-13
I tried this book on a whim and was I blown away. It takes a while to get used to the author's style but once I started following the way he writes I really enjoyed it. It has classic heroes and bad guys and people who you don't know what they are, the characters are unique and interesting and the narrator does a good job of putting voices to the characters. I really enjoyed this book.

Historia
Twenty-eight florins a month is a huge price to pay for a man to stand between you and the Wild. Twenty-eight florins a month is nowhere near enough when a wyvern's jaws snap shut on your helmet in the hot stink of battle, and the beast starts to rip the head from your shoulders. But if standing and fighting is hard, leading a company of men - or worse, a company of mercenaries - against the smart, deadly creatures of the Wild is even harder. It takes all the advantages of birth, training, and the luck of the devil to do it.

Revisado: 02-06-13
The book follows a group of characters from the Queen to a slave and tells some of their backstory's as it goes along, while telling the main story of the book. It is well written and I couldn't stop listening to it. I was involved within the first few minutes and stay throughout the book.

Great followup
Revisado: 10-16-12
It was much more than I thought it would be and a great 2nd chapter in the story. It flowed well and it kept you interested not only in the story but also in the characters that the author created. I couldn't stop listening and had great fun going through the book. Be warned there are some parts of the book that for some reason haven't been included the most glaring in chapter 90. Overall great book.

Historia
Khaavren of the House of Tiassa is a son of landless nobility, possessor of a good sword and “tolerably well-acquainted with its use.” Along with three loyal friends, he enthusiastically seeks out danger and excitement. But in a realm renowned for repartee and betrayals, where power is as mutable as magic, a young man like Khaavren, newly come from the countryside, had best be wary. His life depends on it. And so does the future of Draegara.

Adventure and glory wanted
Revisado: 08-29-12
Tells a tale of four friends as they try to make a name for themselves and determine what they want to do with their lives and try to settle what has happened to them in their past's. Interesting story the only problem I have with it is that when the author could use one word he uses four. Story is good enough to overcome the number of words written to tell it.
