Well, I’m a fan of the author’s work, but this is different than a lot of his other stories. The humor was different, the action was different in a really good way. I really appreciated a few throwbacks to other books, While I prefer audible books at this time, I think I’m gonna have to read the next one of the series because I won’t be able to wait.

Outstanding series

I think I’m on my fourth time listening to the series and the follow up, Bill of the Dead. Even so, the story is interesting enough to merit the listens, and the humor makes me laugh every time. I can’t recommend it enough!

A fun story!

I chose this one based on previous works by Rick Gualtieri. This is different than his regular stuff, and I loved it. The narrator was great, and really drew me into the story. There was a lot of adult content, which was good because I’m an adult. Overall it was really enjoyable.

Intriguing story and great narration

This book had a great story behind it. It’s intriguing enough to make me want to take up the next one. I want to know the details behind the main characters life and her relationship with her sister. The narration really did it for me though. She gave the right emphasis to keep drawing me in to the story. Loved it, and can’t wait for the next one!

Outstanding book - can’t wait for the next one!

I’ve listened to Rick Gualtieri’s Bill the Vampire series and loved it. This new line adds R.E. Carr to the writing cast, and she brings a new angle to the work. The story weaves around the universe of Bill, but he’s barely a mention because Jessie is the star here. This story even stands well on its own, but the Bill background makes it even funnier.
So far, I’ve listened to this book twice, and the narration is perfect for the story. I’ll listen to it again when the new book is due on Audible just to refresh. The story was just as good the second time around, and a third time may reveal even more.
