I’ve listened or read most of Mark’s books. This series is different than his other works. I think the writing is solid but does go over the top on identifying who is speaking even when not needed. It would probably cut 40 minutes of this book. It’s still a series to check out.

To be considered at the same quality as the others is wrong. Writing was lazy with several incorrect statements such as AR16 when they meant M16. The narration was showing John overly weak at times. His wife angry and suddenly passive. It was over the top and not needed. It felt forced.
Overall still worth a listen but don’t expect much.

Solid work from Tom and Kevin. Book 3 was my least favorite for over stretching the story. The story overall was a great change for this genre and worth the listen. I recommend it and I purchased extra credits to get all the books when the hook was set. Not many series I will do that.

Mr. Bray was not at his best. Several times he wasn’t staying in the correct character. Still the story was great and I’ll listen to the next.
I do recommend and Mr Brays below average is still superb to most. I reviewed him only to his other work.
