Historia
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

One of the best I’ve listened to in quite a while! So many questions I had right to the end. A very good storyline.

Historia
Lucy Lang isn't looking for fireworks. She's looking for a nice, decent man. Someone who'll mow the lawn, flip chicken on the barbecue, teach their future children to play soccer. But most important: someone who won't inspire the slightest stirring in her heart - or anywhere else. A young widow, Lucy can't risk that kind of loss again. But sharing her life with a cat named Fat Mikey and the Black Widows at the family bakery isn't enough either.

One of the best!
Revisado: 11-17-23
I enjoyed this book the minute it started. It has it all-tragedy, romance, humor, sadness, and joy. Xe Sands is my very favorite narrator and she did a beautiful job on this heartfelt book. I’ll be looking for more books by Kristan Higgins.

Pack rule number one: Never reveal to a human. I broke that rule the day I met the beautiful doctor. I might be a rodeo champ, but one look at her, and I lost my concentration. The bull tossed and gored me, and now the sweet female is on to me. When I healed within hours, she knew something wasn’t right. My alpha told me to watch her. Not a problem. I’ll watch her all right. Real close. I’ll stick to her like superglue. And those human men who want to date her? They’d better step back. Because the doctor is all mine. Whether she knows it yet or not.

Worst book I’ve ever bet listened to
Revisado: 09-17-23
First sentence of this book is offensive. It never got better. These authors only know how to use the word F every other word. Are we supposed to sit on the edge of our seats to see if someone gets laid? And the other twist to this is just stupid. I had to fast forward to the end so that I could leave a review.

I started out not really liking Tess. She seemed so full of herself! This book was a beautiful story and I came to love Tess and all of the characters so much.

I enjoyed this so much. I did, however, find it difficult to put a name with a voice as the same voice was used for all males, I believe. And they keep adding more to the story. So until towards the end, there were only a few I paid attention to. Great story though!

So upsetting and yet I kept hoping a miracle was about to happen. So well done and such a sobering reminder of the horrible, shameful time in history. Bitter sweet ending.

I wasn’t that taken for the first few chapters
Revisado: 06-22-23
I was sure I would not finish this book and at about chapter 5, it was all making sense, lots of intrigue, one one the BEST books I’ve listened to in such a long time. I felt it was kind of limping along to begin with, but then I was loving the story and the characters. Excellent, just didn’t love the slow start.
