Not only is the entire premise of this book absurd but the actual character or the characters is beyond disturbing. If its common for young women these days to go tp bars multiple nights of the week to bring home random men to f*$k? Seriously? if it is then we definitely don't need authors like Leisa Rayven promoting it!!
Being an indépendant, self assured, modern woman doesn't need to include being a reckless slut.
Andi Arndt is what got me to attempt this book. she's far to talented a performer for this trash.

*****For the young women reading this the real power is holding out. Make them work for it. Don't give it away for free!!!!!

I felt like I was listening to a voice over for a kids cartoon. The male narrator is talented but NOT the correct narrator for a romance audiobook!!
It was my love for Samantha Towle & Amanda Ronconi that kept me from giving up & returning the book after chapter 2.

As a long time audible listener if a book isn't one of my 'automatic downloads' I base my purchases on reviews -particularly from reviews by someone with a solid track record like the reviewer Caroline with the pic of the cute kitten with earbuds (I think I got your name right -if I didn't sorry!!) . I should have listened this time but instead went along with the other 5 ⭐️ Reviews (sorry but I'm doubting their validity) along with the narrators since they have narrated numerous other audiobooks that I liked.
This was an audiobook though that I definitely did not like. I stopped listening somewhere halfway through since I just couldn't take another minute of it. I'm fairly open minded & own several titles from this genre but this went beyond kink to being truly twisted & not in a good way! Maybe listening to the end would have put a different spin on this book but enough was enough.

I am a fan of several authors who are from the U.K. However, when they are writing a story that is based in America with American characters you would think they would at least get an editor who's familiar with American terms, slang, names & the laws. The main character in this book constantly talks about needing a passport to get to Canada? I think most Americans know that it's not necessary for US citizens to have a passport to cross over the Canadian/American border. So annoying! As far as American slang... I've met a few bikers over the years and have been in a few biker bars (if you haven't been to any check out The Elbow Inn on Route 66 in Devil's Elbow MO. Amazing BBQ & beautiful views of the Ozarks and kid friendly during the day). I haven't ever heard anyone use English words such as evidently, whom ever, ideally, sorely, etc.. when we are there! The only time I remember hearing those words is when I was helping my kids with their weekly vocab in elementary school. Definitely not in a biker bar!

I cringe every time I hear the Bianchi name mispronounced in this book! Has the narrator not to mention the editor or production crew (I assume crew?) ever considered doing a simple Internet search to find a correct pronunciation if they are unsure? I checked myself & there are several websites all with the correct pronunciation which is Bee ah n kee -like Chianti wine.
So annoying!!
An author like Kristen Ashely (who is one of my favorites) should get an experienced narrator for each & every one of her books!
I will be reading this one one own & finish out the series with the last book on audio.

I'm extremely picky about narrations & feel as though a poor narrator will ruin an audio book (fsog). I also feel like an excellent performance brings an audiobook to life.
No, this wasn't a perfect narration. There are numerous loud swallow sounds (which kind of gross me out & I avoided by listening through an aux) & the actual narration got better & better as the book progressed.
Kristin Ashley never disappoints & I'm so glad I finally downloaded the book & listened to it since I skipped over it several times due to the reviews.

Kristen Proby is a favorite author of mine who's an automatic purchase for me and Rachel Fulginiti and Sebastian York are also 2 of my favorites narrators.
As always Kristen Proby does not disappoint and the narrators individually don't disappoint. The difference in the accents with the 2 different narrators for the same characters though was a distraction for me. Not enough to ruin the book but enough to keep me from getting completely immersed in the story.
This is an example in my opinion of when choosing one narrator instead of two would have been a better choice.
I'm not sure how the production of audiobooks works but I think the producer would be more to blame then the actual narrators in this circumstance. It won't stop me from continuing with the series but I might just be downloading it onto my kindle to read on my own instead.

What disappointed you about Drive Me Crazy?

The actual story was good but the narration was truly one of the worst I've heard. The inflections were used at the wrong time or not at all. It was definitely disappointing.

Would you be willing to try another one of Nicky Phillips’s performances?

No, probably not

I can only imagine that Sylvia Day must of cringed if she listened to the numerous amount of words that were mispronounced in this audio book!
The last straw for me was toward the end of the book when the word wanton was pronounced as wonton! This was a great story (love Jared and Darcy) and I've yet to read or listen to a book by Sylvia Day that I haven't loved but the mispronounced words and the accent of the narrator (that sounded to be possibly from New Jersey in a story that is set in the Northwestern United States) was a distraction and disappointment.

While I was listening to this trilogy (which by the way should definititely be read in order) I was trying to think of what the dialogue reminded me of and I finally figured out that it reminded me of my daughter's Babysitter's Club books! When the word 'cahoots' was used either in the 2nd or 3rd book in the series I finally figured it out.
I first listened to a book narrated by Tanya Eby in The Search by Nora Roberts and while I liked the story I wasn't crazy about what I can best describe as the nasal sounding voice of the characters.
I liked the narration better in this series and she does a great job with the different voices especially when they reappear in the 3 different books.
While the storyline in this book isn't boring it is a bit predictable. If you like books that really make you think and grab ahold of you you might want to pass on this series.
