poor story good performance

the mc getting fanned over by all the women all! the! time! very little progession because the authors busy dreaming of women. the voices are very well done. you could tell when different characters were talking. except when Rain changed sizes, I think tge size change shouldn't affect the voice, but had a female like voice as it was small and deeper, more manly voice when it grew? couldve at least made it one or the other

Historia
Alec began his 18th birthday with the temple monks. By day's end, he discovers he possesses magical abilities. Except his magic is unique. He doesn't require grimoires and incantations to cast spells. Alec's magic is entirely natural. He can, somehow, absorb the elements from objects and manipulate them according to his will. This power is incredible, but difficult to master. If he's going to learn how to use his natural magic, it'll take the tutelage of Archmage Diamondspear, one of the most adept magic users in the kingdom.

good narrator, story needs a lot of polishing. its like it was thrown together and not ironed out. the author bounces around repeats himself so much, and gives away the story again and again. could be great with more depth and character building, but no luck. im disappointed 😞

the author doesn't know what direction its going

between bouncing through characters like they are candy, none of which are fleshed out. extremely 2 dimensional.
mishaps in the story line dont make sense either, calling tabor the human, castyen the elf. dont tell anyone this secret, but then they turn around and start telling everyone.
how many people are seers, wtf. first it was the mother and her line, next the father, then everyone gets a vision.
also the story through in Way too many elements. between prophecy, and world jumping, then the chosen kids, and their dad, now the mom, oh let's throw in an ogre too.
seriously too much, too short, and too easy. everyone gets powers, and they don't even have to try hard to learn about them. ughhh. I rarely write reviews, but this one earned a terrible one.
the narrator changed voices for some characters halfway through the second book. but other than that I feel he did well for what he was given.
