Preparing for what comes next
Revisado: 12-23-22
It’s very nice to be able to listen to a person like Dolores Cannon discus so many things that happens to human beings in our universe when it’s our time to come into this world or leave it. She makes so much sense since she’s been at it so long-and she has a magnificent command of the English language. She makes it easy to believe none of us have anything in the afterlife to fear.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Awesome Science mixed with human emotion-
Revisado: 11-09-21
If you saw the movie first then found the book you are probably like me! In love with both the movie and the book!!!
Listening to the book form definitely fills in the gaps-listening to what caused this explosion, that chemical reaction, and experiencing the feeling of being the only human on Mars and fighting off months of being alone and wondering if you’ll be rescued then this book is all wrapped up in a sense of humor that will satisfy your sense of adventure-

Historia
In a New York City fifty years in the future, Detective Eve Dallas tracks down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Eve Dallas and her partner, Peabody, are following up on a brutal, senseless crime - an elderly grocery owner killed by three stoned punks for nothing more than kicks and snacks. And for the first time, Peabody is primary detective on the case, which means she has to get used to a new level of authority and responsibility. Good thing she learned the ropes from a master like Eve. But after rounding up the perps, Peabody stumbles upon a much trickier situation.

Lady Justice in the wings
Revisado: 08-02-21
I love it when Eve Dallas rallies all her forces and brings justice to the wicked... I can even feel I’m part of the team because I can choose which character in the story I’m connecting with at the time I’m listening to the story- was it the store keeper when she lost her husband due to the low life’s high on drugs or was it the the moment our hero Eve Dallas springs her well planed traps snaring and ridding the world of a high level corrupt Baddie...
I’m always impressed with how complete each character is developed and how “human” each one is and stays mostly within their character but occasionally lets loose a surprise or two to cause a raised brow or two.
This story moves right along and for the justice seeking buffs- this one is for you-I highly recommend it!

A classic thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Crichton, Sphere is a bravura demonstration of what he does better than anyone: riveting storytelling that combines frighteningly plausible, cutting-edge science and technology with pulse-pounding action and serious chills.

A thoughtful look into an alien artifact
Revisado: 05-29-21
This is a delightful story about a group of people who are flung into a situation where the whodunit takes a walk on the id’s wild side 1,000 feet below the waves. Better yet, the movie parallels the book almost to a “T” so it doesn’t matter if you listen or actually read the book or see the movie first as one mirrors the other almost perfectly! So, if you like psychological thrillers with a twist, sink into this naval habitat where murder isn’t presented in the normal format.
Entertaining and definitely different-it gets my vote and I’ll listen to it again as I liked the list of characters!!

It’s a wonderful life
Revisado: 03-09-21
Of all the books in this series, this one is my favorite- it sends the reader upon a journey through murder, shopping, love making, and character building situations for a top murder cop living in 2060 New York City known as Lt. Eve Dallas. As with all books in this series, J.D. Robb, also known as Nora Roberts, makes us, the readers, feel like we are right there walking in all the character’s shoes!

Words in Balance
Revisado: 01-19-21
I don’t usually like getting caught up in a long-running series but when Nora Roberts is doing the writing it is a different story. This author will grab your Imagination and run with it through plot lines and characters who become family and sometimes funny characters who grab your heart strings... and then there’s her BAD, EVIL, SCUMBAGS who are the villains...
Nora Roberts, who writes as J.D. Robb, got it all together for us...and gives us not one hero but many! Life on the front line is never dull for this feisty female detective or boring story telling that grabs the reader and propels us forward into the future where Life is basically the same as today but full of cool gizmos and psychological thrills... can’t go wrong when you start right here!

Historia
On Manhattan’s East Side a woman lies dead at the bottom of the stairs, stripped of all her valuables. Most cops might call it a mugging gone wrong, but Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows better. A well-off accountant and a beloved wife and mother, Marta Dickenson doesn’t seem the type to be on anyone’s hit list. But when Eve and her partner, Peabody, find blood inside the building, the lieutenant knows Marta’s murder was the work of a killer who’s trained, but not professional or smart enough to remove all the evidence.

Count On It
Revisado: 10-05-20
As usual you, the reader, get to be a participant in this all inclusive thriller. All the occurrences in a normal readers life are enriched by J.D. Robb’s fantastic writing abilities- she’s one well informed author-a master of all emotions-sex, humor, anger, wonderment- it’s all here in Calculated In Death. This is another story in the life of Eve Dallas, a New York cop, that is a story that when listened to out of line can stand alone. Always a winner!

This story has it all. That scare factor, lots of amusements, sad moments, losses and victories- everything anyone could want in a story- from kids to adults- I recommend it also to anyone wanting to be a good writer- why? Because this story keeps you rolling along with the storyline and that is what storytelling is all about.

One feel good story
Revisado: 05-30-19
Although I’m addicted to most all of J.D. Robb’s Eve Dallas stories this one, Born in Death, is one of my favorites. It has everything from side splitting humor to nail biting angst-
It is the kind of story most would-be writers can only wish to present to an audience of thrill seeking readers and listeners. Susan Erickson is the perfect narrator giving each character their own personality story after story so that everyone portrayed in every book is readily recognizable instantly.
A feel good listen with or without being a mom!
