Historia
The sand-blasted world of Arrakis has become green, watered, and fertile. Old Paul Atreides, who led the desert Fremen to political and religious domination of the galaxy, is gone. But for the children of Dune, the very blossoming of their land contains the seeds of its own destruction. The altered climate is destroying the giant sandworms, and this in turn is disastrous for the planet's economy.

Loved It - A Most Remarkable Book!
Revisado: 04-09-21
I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this book, which I bought totally on a whim because I am a newly established "bird person". What I got was a beautifully crafted book which told the story of these remarkable birds. The narration provided an armchair tour of many remote and beautiful locations scattered throughout South America. The author's descriptions of these places were so vivid that they came to life in my mind and I even loved the crew he traveled with because they all contributed so much richness to the experience.

Historia
"You look like a thing and I love you" is one of the best pickup lines ever...according to an artificial intelligence trained by scientist Janelle Shane, creator of the popular blog AI Weirdness. She creates silly AIs that learn how to name paint colors, create the best recipes, and even flirt (badly) with humans — all to understand the technology that governs so much of our daily lives.

it is an AI explanation and I love it
Revisado: 04-16-20
I've been looking for a down-to-earth explanation of how AI works and this book accomplished that in fine fashion. The examples, the explanations, and just the overall way the material was presented was really outstanding. I look forward to listening to it again!

Historia
Filled with breathtaking scenes, the elemental north woods, the sweep of seasons, an iconic American barn, a fateful vision rendered in the falling rain. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle is a meditation on the limits of language and what lies beyond, a brilliantly inventive retelling of an ancient story, and an epic tale of devotion, betrayal, and courage in the American heartland.

A True Masterpiece!
Revisado: 12-13-19
I just finished listening to the book for the second time and it was every bit as entertaining as the first. Wroblewski's writing and Poe's narration are a perfect match! Who ever thought a story about a mute boy raising dogs in Wisconsin could be so engrossing? This story has everything: overcoming disabilities, love, hate, envy, compassion, sibling rivalry, deep human-animal connections, an epic journey, and even murder. You cannot help but be pulled so completely into Edgar's world that you'll find yourself lost in it and wishing you could know dogs like his. You'll also have a much greater appreciation for what it takes to raise and train man's best friend to reach their potential!

I have to admit, I was very skeptical with a 41 hour audio book. But Mr. Hamilton came through with a fantastic story that was lots of fun to read.
