Fun story, horrible narrator

As a kids' book this is great. It has dashing adventure, magic, kids in charge doing big important things, and plot twists (most are pretty obvious to a thinking adult, but still fun). All the good stuff. The NARRATOR though... I know Percy Jackson is supposed to be about 12 years old, but that doesn't mean that the story should be READ like there's a 12 year old reading it. He has three voices: surfer dude, twangy mishmash of Australian & bad southern accent, and "scary ghost story under the blanket." He also has a lot of trouble emphasizing the correct words in sentences. Please, my daughter and I really want to listen to the rest of the books, but I CANNOT stand this narrator any longer... Get someone else to record the series!

Good fun for learning Spanish with little kids

This podcast is super cute, and my daughters (4 & 7) both love it. The hosts are very sweet, and the stories are on the right level for kids. Each episode really only has a few vocabulary words, and if you want any real repetition of them past the review episode (each lesson is accompanied by one review episode) you will need to re-listen to previous episodes.

Good story, not great writing

This story was very compelling. I didn't want to stop listening. The writing itself was a little clumsy however. The conversations were very unnatural. The characters explained a lot more out loud than any real person ever does unless they're teaching. The personal relationships were also rather unlikely, making this book seem like part mystery, part ghost story, and part cheap romance novel.
