Oddly disquieting
Revisado: 04-23-22
Interesting premise but felt way off the mark somehow. It is not to say I've not read other stories about the subject matter, but it didn't feel or ring true here. Maybe because I've grown accustomed to James Patterson's other books that I found this one sitting oddly inside my mind. Not sure to be honest.

Did not enjoy this series
Revisado: 04-01-22
Found the main character tired and overused. Plus the arrogance of him was really off putting. It took till the last story in this book before I began to enjoy any of it. I guess by then the character of K. Burke made up for Moncrief Either way I was very disappointed with this series and I love James Patterson.

Unusual and fast paced
Revisado: 11-12-21
I enjoyed it a great deal. Many sci fi style stories get mired in the minutia but this did not and that allowed to story to flow faster.

Wonderful but sad...
Revisado: 11-07-21
I found the story fascinating and sad. It was like old home week when it came to the characters I had come to know and love over the years. Like with real life all good things must have a beginning and an end. Thus many of my old friends here that I have grown to care for deeply had to exit stage left. I shall mourn their loss yet thank them for having been in my life for so very long.

Slightly anti-climatic
Revisado: 09-19-21
For the most part an improvement over the first two in the series, but the climax as oddly dissatisfying. I think it was because of the climax of the Red Sun issue. How do you confront the challenge, pass out, then wake up and its all over??? What happened in between?

Second better than first
Revisado: 09-17-21
It seems they learned from the first book and kept the story more on point so there was less disconnection in the storyline. I'm hoping the third will be as good or better.

Novel or screenplay?
Revisado: 09-12-21
All though I enjoy Star Trek books a great deal, this one I found more than a bit annoying. Why? Simply put they would suddenly jump from one part of the story to the next with no regard to transitions and you were left scratching your head and wondering what in the world was going on. Yes, they did eventually get to the point in tying the jumps together but the story as written I think is better suited for a screenplay than an actual novel.

Historia
Once upon a galaxy, a spaced-out writer launched a novel exploring a starry saga set in a universe much like a certain trek we know and love. Here, for the first time, you can experience this voyage into trekkerness. The names are new, but you might recognize the drama and excitement of an epic encounter aboard the star cruiser Exogenesis as it pioneers humanity's journey to greatness among the stars.

In experienced Narrator?
Revisado: 09-09-21
The story line wasn't to bad, I've read better. I think what really kind of put me off was the Narrator Alison Pitt. I'm not sure if it was the studio where it was produced or her but it didn't come off well for me or sound at all professional. Guess I got spoiled by other Star Trek books that were better produced and narrated.

Too long winded.
Revisado: 01-15-21
Though I understand the need to explain the chase of a killer, this book seemed to take waaaaaaay to much time describing every little nuance and thus it made it drag on way to long. I was impatiently just waiting for them to get to the point!!
