Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Wrong impression about Russia...
Revisado: 11-01-23
Wrong impression about “honesty” in Russia. Very wrong.
Living in an authoritarian country, where the majority is naturally habitually rude and doesn’t give a second thought about anything or anyone is very taxing.
It’s disturbing to read how someone apparently had an overdose of polite and respectful treatment living in his comfortable country and now is bashing it.
Live in Russia for at least 5 years to get a full taste of it and some understanding of what is going on.
Modern Citizens of the USA got spoiled and lost the touch of reality. They are getting forgetful about what made their country the greatest. It's an alarming tendency.

Historia
Claude Bristol's tough-minded, hard-hitting message remains as fresh and focused today, as when his books were first published, when the subconscious mind was less understood. Times have changed since the late 40's, but ambitions have not, and millions of Americans have drawn on the no-nonsense techniques described in The Magic of Believing to reach their dreams and achieve success.

Historia
After she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in her early 20s, Phoebe Lapine felt overwhelmed by her doctor's strict protocols and confused when they directly conflicted with information on the best-seller list. After experiencing mixed results and a life of deprivation that seemed unsustainable at best, she adopted 12 of her own wellness directives - including eliminating sugar, switching to all-natural beauty products, and getting in touch with her spiritual side.

A cute book for teens.
Revisado: 11-05-20
Very cute trendy book with a bunch of cool fluff. Though rather written for young teens. Has lots of good information to inspire them to start thinking about their own health and, perhaps, to model the author in other ways.
The only reason I gave 3 stars as it’s unfortunate that the book cover is somewhat misleading. Somehow it appeared to be suitable for grownups. With a more targeted cover it would be a great book for the right crowd.
I any case, a light gourmet-blog-chit-chat style read, it appears to offer a glimpse into popular trends of younger city-based crowds.
