Yes!!
Revisado: 11-12-23
I can’t wait for book 2!!! I have a HUGE fan of Jillian Yetter. There hasn’t been a book she’s narrated that isn’t well done. Her voice is so soothing and I love all the emotion she puts behind every word. I will say this is the first time I’ve listened to James Cavenaugh and he was just as wonderful. I will definitely be looking into more of his work. I’ve had my eye on this book for awhile now and when I heard Jillian was doing the narration, I snatched it up ASAP! Kathrine Quinn did NOT disappoint with the story!

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Divergent meets The Giver
Revisado: 05-24-23
Wow! This book was AMAZING. It’s like Divergent and The Giver had a baby! Wonderful storytelling! I really enjoyed the characters and the world building. Very immersive reading experience. We follow Hollis Timewire in this story. She is about to complete her coming out ceremony but she doesn’t pass. Our story goes from there. Wild things are revealed and everything she thought she knew, she is now questioning. Now Hollis is on the hunt for the truth, will she find it? I CANNOT wait to read/listen to the rest of the series!!
I had the honor of receiving a ALC code for this book and man… Jillian Yetter is such an AMAZING narrator. She had such a way of bringing the characters to life. I can perfectly see in my mind’s eye everything that is happening. The setting. The characters. Their expressions on their faces. Love, love, love! I will be continuing to listen to Jillian with this series and I’ll definitely be checking out her other works!

Historical Romance Meets Dark Romance
Revisado: 05-01-23
Historical romance meets dark romance. YES PLEASE! Historical romances, back in the day, were my bread and butter. This genre is what made me fall in love with reading, and I’m talking about high school was walking around the halls with my nose in a historical romance smut book. Can you imagine?! Anyways, I devoured this book. I love everything about historical romance and when I was told it was a little dark… I was SOLD! I’ll probably read the rest of the series and check out more by this author!
I did this book as an ALC and the narrator was so lovely. Her tone was beautiful and you could understand every word. She really brought the story to life. As May, the narrator did a wonderful job making her tone more sweet and innocent and as the book progressed, you heard May gaining confidence. I will definitely be checking out other titles from this narrator.
