couldn't get past Chapter 8
Revisado: 04-07-25
Due to the narration, I couldn't listen to the book. As just about everyone has said, he mispronounced numerous words. He also doesn't change voices at all for the different characters. The book is not written with a lit of ..... he said and .... she said. Therefore, without the change of voice, it's very hard to follow who is saying what. I do appreciate his faster pace of reading as quite a few read painfully slow for my liking. I was listening while driving and realized I was on Chapter 8 without knowing anything that was going on. This was a waste of money and time. I'm sure this book has been read by someone else that actually enjoys narrating. I'm off to find that version!

Another great collection
Revisado: 02-10-25
I'm really enjoying these collections from Jamie Malton. They have a good mix of (to me) known and unknown cases/crimes. The chapters are each a different case a good listen length for chores (Ugh!) There is always the right amount of information without getting lost in "extra stuff." Though I'm not a fan of the narrator's voice (sorry dude,) he does a good job of not letting his personal feeling come through in his reading. Definitely recommend to any true crime buff!

Great set of little known crimes
Revisado: 02-05-25
I was surprised when I had not heard many of the cases in this set. I read and listen to quite a few true crime books. It is always nice to listen to different cases instead of the same ones told in different ways. I enjoy Ms. Malton's style of writing. She tells you what is needed to understand the case without giving any extra information or personal feelings. The reader does the same, reading without having emotion in his voice. I'm sure that's not easy to do. I recommend this series to any true crime enthusiasts or someone just dipping their toes in.

Interesting little-known cases
Revisado: 01-20-25
This is a well written book that tells the crimes of people that haven't been already written about a hundred times. There isn't a bunch of "fluff" to fill the pages which is refreshing. The crimes are a mix from different times and places around the world. I enjoyed (It always seems wrong to say you enjoy books like this, doesn't it?) the amount of information about the people and the crimes themselves. Some of this can be hard to hear. Nothing was "softened" for the purpose of the book. I definitely recommend this book for people who are interested in true crime and trying to understand what makes people like this tick.

Many engrossing stories!
Revisado: 10-13-23
This is a wonderful collection of many of Ryan Green's works. The narration is easy to listen to. Mr. Green has a way of writing these stories that incorporate the facts in such a way that you don't feel that you are reading a police report. You learn about the thoughts and inner workings of these criminals that causes you to wonder about cause and effect on the human psyche. Every story is about a terrible criminal yet every story is quite different. I enjoy listening to help make mundane tasks (dishes, anyone?) more enjoyable and learn something at the same time.
