Really sweet story about missed chances and tough family relationships. Ending was a little heavy handed, but I think most romance lovers are usually okay with layin' it on thick at the end.

Oona is a waste of oxygen

I really struggled with this book because the main character was absolutely unbearable. If you're older than 20, I absolutely do not recommend. Oona is wildly immature and wasteful, and that doesn't even begin to include her incredible prejudices against fat people, old people, and people suffering from depression.

Absolutely Do Not Miss This One!

I was so amazed by this book and things I learned. I picked it up from my monthly Audible read, and I am floored by the information provided and the smooth way it was provided. Super enjoyable, super short, and enlightening.

Fun Supernatural Suspense

This was a fun supernatural suspense shorter than watching a movie. It didn't tackle anything new, but was enjoyable and entertaining. Definitely would recommend.

The narrator was KILLING ME

I actually almost didn't finish this book because the narration was so poor. The recurring, lilting inflection of her voice was laughable! I probably broke copyright laws with the number of ppl who I played the audio for, because it was THAT ridiculous.

The story was fun though. It was the kind of predictable romance I was looking for. Glad I stuck it out till the end.

Enjoyable Story...If you ignore the narration

This was a cute, cozy mystery. It was predictable, but I enjoy that sometimes. It's definitely nailed the quaint small town vibe. However, that said, the narration is just...weird and distracting. The narrator makes every woman other than the lead sound like a total airhead! Did not enjoy that. This might be one to read rather than listen to.

I Don't Know What I Think

Someone on Goodreads described this book best by saying, "It's the worst book I couldn't put down." I really was intrigued by the story but found a lot of fault in the old-school weak female lead (she was constantly blushing and feeling lightheaded; she also didn't make - what seemed like - very simple connections), the wild storyline, and struggled with every Mexican person being described as "espresso." There was some tone deafness pertaining to women and race that generally bothered me throughout. All in all, it could have been better, but wasn't the worst book I've ever read. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not Typical Harper Standard

I love Molly Harper's leading ladies....usually. Sarah/Cassandra, though, is obnoxious and predictable. There were times where I was simply skipping ahead 30 secs at a time until Sarah stopped speaking. Definitely recommend so many other Harper books, but not this one.

Fun plot, rushed ending

The plot of this one was interesting. I liked the sci-fi-ish spin on a fantasy story. That said, the ending was rushed and made me feel kinda yuck. Wish it had ended totally differently.

Stated off great!

This one started off great....but the end was absolutely cringeworthy and cliche. I could barely contain the "UGH 🙄." I'm all for predictable and cheesy, but the last hour was next-level.
