This mind-opening analysis put Jacob’s words in context.
First it points out that all sin comes from viewing others as unequal. The author goes on to describe all the implications that sentiment has.

We both like the culturally-rich stories that are carefully told. Many of them come across as fables.
Some of the chapters seem to repeat a little but that is fine… perhaps that is intentional as my kid will often fall asleep in the retelling.

If you could sum up Nutcracker and Mouse-King in three words, what would they be?

This storybook is written as if it were the transcription of a parent or nanny telling an intricate bedtime story to children. There are about 13 chapters. The story is understandable and enjoyable. It is older, proper English. At times pronouns such as "thy and thine" are used. The translation from German was carefully done so that parts of the text keep a poetic meter and rhyme. The story is pretty much the same as the cartoon "The Nutcracker Prince" with Kiefer Sutherland.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, It is fast-paced, interesting and seems non-biased (although it spends a seemingly disproportionate amount of time on the Mountain Meadow Massacre). The author also compares Brigham Young to his contemporaries to better understand the historical setting. Great book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brigham Young?

The account of the "Utah war."

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Brigham Young, a man who loved his religion.

Where does Cleopatra rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is great because it is informative yet novel-like.

What did you like best about this story?

This story is mostly informative. It is mostly a defense for Cleopatra, but it tries to summarize everyone's point of view about her (including negative views). The author is mostly unbiased about Antony, Cleopatra and Caesar. She may be biased against Octavian, but she talks little about him.

What about Robin Miles’s performance did you like?

Enjoyable

Was there a moment in the book that particular moved you?

Yes, of course. The Battle of Actium, the tale of Antony fishing and the final moments of Antony and Cleopatra.
