Historia
It was the trial that stunned America, the verdict that shocked us all. On July 5, 2011, nearly three years after her initial arrest, Casey Anthony walked away, virtually scot-free, from one of the most sensational murder trials of all time. She'd been accused of killing her daughter, Caylee, but the trial only left behind more questions: Was she actually innocent? What really happened to Caylee? Was this what justice really looked like?

Very good book.

Thought this was a very well written and interesting book. The story is as fascinating as it is sad. Very thorough but it didn't feel too long. Previously I read Inside the Mind of Casey by Ablow. This book is so much better. Only criticism- Ashton gave the impression that he thought the jury were a bunch of dummies (even as they were being selected). His explanation of how Cayley died is the only one that makes sense to me.

Historia
In Saving Normal, Allen Frances, one of the world's most influential psychiatrists, warns that mislabeling everyday problems as mental illness has shocking implications for individuals and society: Stigmatizing a healthy person as mentally ill leads to unnecessary, harmful medications, the narrowing of horizons, misallocation of medical resources, and draining of the budgets of families and the nation.

I really enjoyed the historical look at medicine and psychiatry. As a mental health therapist, this provided me with some helpful insight. However, it was a bit long.

Historia
The trial of 25-year-old Casey Anthony for the death of her daughter, Caylee, was the most sensational case in America since O.J. Simpson’s. After being acquitted in July 2011, Ms. Anthony instantly became one of the most infamous women in the world. Dr. Keith Ablow distills tens of thousands of pages of documents he has obtained, his behind-the-camera, one-on one interviews, and his decades of experience in the world of forensic psychiatry to make sense of this troubled young woman.

Pretty good.

I found it very interesting and had trouble putting it down. Ablow puts a LOT of his personal opinion into the analysis. He allows the reader to see Casey at a different angle. It was also too long. He repeats himself constantly. I got sick of several of his catchphrases. Overall I liked it, and I feel like I understand Casey better than before.

Really enjoyed it. Helped me better understand the library of books we call the Bible.
