What an imagination! What if cats really do spy and type and report back to headquarters? Interesting idea. Cat spies, sinister billionaires, James Bond Caribbean island. Hated to have the story end.

Good story. I was hooked. And then it ends abruptly. Is there a part 2? Only three stars because there’s no ending.

Always love Agatha Christie but…
Revisado: 03-11-23
Good classic if dated story. Reader might be okay for Miss Marple but is NOT good for Poirot. All in all, this was disappointing.

Reminds me of Flavia de Luce in 1951. Irrepressible Myrtle is quite the crime fan and legal study. Fun listen, light.

Very slow to start but gets better
Revisado: 03-02-22
Great plot but the first 2-4 sections go soooo slowly. I kept listening because of reviews indicating it got better. The last sections have several surprising twists. Not sure I like Florence, even after she was ill-used, but she got what she thinks she wanted.

Disappointing
Revisado: 11-17-21
This story moved slooowly despite the car explosions/fires. There were a few humorous lines, but not as many as usual. The reading wasn’t as good as usual either, but there wasn’t a lot of interesting text to work with. Our least favorite of the Stephanie Plum series.

Historia
Nestled in the mountain shadows of Alabama lies the little town of Wicklow. It is here that Anna Kate has returned to bury her beloved Granny Zee, owner of the Blackbird Café. It was supposed to be a quick trip to close the café and settle her grandmother’s estate, but despite her best intentions to avoid forming ties or even getting to know her father’s side of the family, Anna Kate finds herself inexplicably drawn to the quirky Southern town her mother ran away from so many years ago, and the mysterious blackbird pie everybody can’t stop talking about.

It was hard to have the story end. Loved the town and the people. What a sweet place with a bit of magic. Only sorry that no recipes were included. The biscuits and blackberry iced tea sounded yummy.
