Historia
Human sacrifice still goes on uncomfortably close to home - cases have been found in the U.S., Europe, and the United Kingdom. In other parts of the world, such as South America, ritual killing is almost commonplace. Human Sacrifice investigates the terrifying current spate of human sacrifices and ritual killings. Jimmy Lee Shreeve draws on police reports and interviews with the victims' families to paint a horrifying picture of ritual sacrifice at home and abroad.

It’s about debunking the spiritual side of sacrifice
Revisado: 02-04-25
Not at all what I was looking for. It’s a skeptic’s view of sra and sacrifice and totally misses the mark.

This story just dragged and dragged. It picked up by the end but it was tough to pay attention to and was never very captivating.

So boring
Revisado: 12-30-18
This book was so boring I could not finish it. The character development was really poor. The story was I guess interesting but not really unique. Just a total waste of a credit.

Absolutely captivating book - cannot turn it off!!
Revisado: 12-14-18
This book is beautifully written and provides a painful and harsh view into the lives of a very strange cult-like family. What an amazing and difficult life! Very inspirational, very well written. I have been an audible listener for a decade and this is my all-time favorite listen!

Good story, distracting politics
Revisado: 04-23-18
Are you an American? Do you support the constitution? Are you sick of cnn and Rachel Maddow? Did you want anyone other than Hillary Clinton to win the election? If you answered yes to any of these then this book is not for you. If you are a snowflake sjw, you will probably love this book!! It’s too bad because the story could really be great. It’s too bad the entire book takes every opportunity to scold people who actually want America to have a future.

If you could sum up Get Over Your Damn Self in three words, what would they be?
It doesn't matter if you are involved in network marketing, or even if you are thinking about it. This book is REALLY about authenticity and achievement. I love that it is told in such an entertaining and honest way. This is one I will be listening to over and over. JUST LOVE IT.

Powerful, beautifly written and narrated story!!
Revisado: 04-02-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Red Tent to be better than the print version?
YES! The narrator and the subtle use of sound effects made this an enchanting listen....
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Red Tent?
This book was epic - so many memorable moments! Unexpected and so painfully detailed was the dream Dinah had next to her husband Shalem, waking to find that her brothers had murdered him.
Which scene was your favorite?
The birth of Dinah, and the beauty of a girl as described by her mothers
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book helped me to connect to the strength and beauty of the feminine. The book honors men as well, but it is a journey of sisterhood and the deep value of women.
Any additional comments?
this is one of the few books that have been life changing for me...
