solid story. consistently interesting.
Revisado: 02-04-25
This is a well-written, clean adventure story with a main character whose abilities unfold gradually as he faces different challenges. The plot builds steadily toward obstacles that keep you engaged without relying on excessive violence or disturbing content. It strikes the right balance—exciting and immersive without being stressful. The writing style is exactly what I look for in fiction, making the journey feel rewarding and fun. I’d definitely read more from this author

Anaconda AI Ethics Review
Model: Default
The authors make a valiant effort to provide guidance on the complex and rapidly evolving field of AI.
However, for entrepreneurs and those looking for a deeper understanding of AI, this book may prove to be less useful. While the authors provide a solid foundation for ethical considerations, they do not delve deeply into the technical aspects of AI or provide practical solutions for the challenges facing those in the industry.
Overall, this book is best suited for the purpose of helping the authors establish themselves as experts and be invited to government think tanks, but for those looking for a more comprehensive understanding of AI and its impact on business, it may fall short.

Historia
At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

deep magic
Revisado: 11-05-22
The author calls this a story. It's not. There is no plot, no villain, no crucible. It may sound like rambling about someone's day, so why do I come back to it and listen again?
It speaks of the deeper ways of knowing, written between the lines, not spoken. A deeper magic still.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

It was good. It shares perspectives that emerge from a long time period and shares the understanding that comes from studying the markets over a long period of time in the context of psychological factors that influence our our sometimes irrational behavior. It will make you wiser.

Historia
In this fascinating deep dive into the evolution of monetary systems around the globe, Nik Bhatia takes us into the origins of how money has evolved to function in a “layered” manner. Using gold as an example of this term, he traces the layers of this ancient currency from raw mined material, to gold coins, and finally to bank-issued gold certificates. In a groundbreaking manner, Bhatia offers a similar paradigm for the evolution of digital currencies.

Not a Real Book - Spintax
Revisado: 05-13-21
Audible was scammed by whoever submitted this audio book. It uses something called "spintax" which is software that takes copyrighted material and replaces words with synonyms so that it can pass copyscape and other plagiarism checkers.
How do I know? Just listen to the book and you'll hear sentences that make no sense until you consider what the original sentence probably said. For example, "The stock market has chances that can trade at a best." The sentence makes no sense until you realize the software chose synonyms for the original sentence that probably read like this, "The stock market has options that can trade at a premium."
Frankly, I'm surprised Audible let this slip through. It should be removed immediately if they hope to preserve their reputation. Otherwise, they will soon be overrun with scammers like this guy who stole other people's random blog posts about stock trading, fed it through spintax software, slapped a (probably fake) author name on there, and then purchased thousands of fake reviews to make a buck off of unsuspecting people like me.
Audible Editors, if you would like my help with understanding what went wrong here and how to spot spintax, feel free to reach out to me directly.
