Quite simply, brilliant, painful, emotional, and visionary. A forty year trip through intersectionality which is so tear-jerking I had to stop at times. Required reading for any attorney (like me) who works with vulnerable populations. I am buying this book for family and friends.

Well written but extremely dense, the author traces the development of humanity from evolution to the late modern period. Toward the final chapters the author does begin to stray toward more lecture, and posits many ethical questions, which can be difficult to handle in an audible book. in some areas, material is a bit oversimplified through the use of metaphor. I found that more depth might be nice.

If you want to read a masterful rendition of intersectionality about poverty, gender, social development and the impact of these on domestic violence, this is THE book. I was bawling in the last chapter. Trevor Noah is a genius performing this book.

An absolutely monumental and spanning history of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. A wonderful text for any student of architecture, engineering or the postbellum United States.

Absolutely enthralling and heartrending. I would recommend to anyone who loves good stories and Norse mythology. These are ancient tales told in a modern fashion, and they are so multidimensional, so full of complex characters that it is a welcome novel from the sort of one dimensional novelettes we get today.

As a bipolar lawyer, this is the most amazing and inspiring book I have ever read.
