Historia
Many years and even more levels have passed since Jake and friends entered Nevermore. With quite a number of floors passed, they turn their attention to the Challenge Dungeons. These Challenge Dungeons offer – as the name suggests – unique challenges and circumstances, and completing them will earn each Nevermore competitor points and multipliers to their existing points. As things unfold, it quickly becomes clear it’s through these dungeons that the true top-scorer of the Nevermore Leaderboards will be found.

Nevermore Never Ends....
Revisado: 03-06-25
While only about halfway through the book, it's already spent sooo much time on the nevermore Side Quest/ Filler. The recaps at the beginning are starting to really destroy the immersion of the story Itself. I Get it the series doesn't take itself too serious in recent books, but talking about what Will or Won't happen in each book before reading isn't something I enjoy.

Historia
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Great series but this one's a little all over the place
Revisado: 02-16-25
Another great addition to the series, but I'm worried certain plot point will start to lose meaning with so much happening at once.

Historia
When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters. Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi. But I want none of that. I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine.

Surprisingly good story, NarratorYells too much
Revisado: 01-16-25
Good writing, good story, but like many other reviewers agree the naratoris too much at most times. You do get somewhat used to it, but this book would've been much better if he tamped down on the yelling and screaming. I do actually like the narrators unique voice. just a shame he overdid it. Overall worth it and looking forward to book 2.

Great world building and character development, but battle scenes a little clunky
Revisado: 08-24-24
Great addition to the series! Voice acting was great, story was great and progressed well. However the last quarter of the book felt rushed yet prolonged at the same time. Not saying it's bad, but the rest of the book felt more tightened up and thought out. Can't wait for the next one!

a nice blend of progressing the story while not feeling like filler. Characters could use a little more development, and world building could be a little better, but going these things work themselves out at the series progresses. Definitely read if you like progressive fantasy.

Starting to lose interest
Revisado: 06-29-24
been here since the beginning, but the story just doesn't have the same qualities that attracted me to this series at the start. It feels more like I'm being read an explanation of the story instead of the immersive feeling of experiencing the story through the characters. also but enough Aggross imo. he's the only character that seems to be developing throughout the series. no feeling of a greater over arching story either. not sure how many more of these books I have in me.

Very good, but slightly predictable almost too compact
Revisado: 06-21-24
Really enjoying this series so far. This story adds more depth to the characters and universe, but can be slightly predictable. ( In the best way possible) Writing is well done, voice acting is amazing. just seems like there's too much jam packed into less than 10 hours of listening. Usually that's a good thing but this could've used another few hours of listening time.

Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

Revisado: 11-09-23
Not as good as the first, but still worth listening to. The plot, works, and characters are getting more and more fleshed out. Feel a little short changed but the end of the book was not a lot of time/progress happens. Here's hoping that the this is a set up for an amazing book 3. Can't wait!
