Historia
This transcendent story follows four college friends who move to New York City, buoyed by ambition: Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, an artist; Malcolm, an architect; and, at the center, Jude, a withdrawn, brilliant attorney haunted by an unspeakable past. Through decades of shared and separate lives, Jude’s suffering - and its impact on those who love him - raises questions about the limits of human endurance, the possibility for redemption, and the meaning of friendship.

Historia
DJ Parker, billionaire developer of a proprietary artificial intelligence program, is on the cusp of cracking the miracle code that can usher in a new age of human progress. Amazingly, the technology is ancient, held by a group of beings that have been around for 50 million years: cetacea - species of aquatic mammals including killer whales. But Parker quickly learns he has dangerous enemies including a Russian conglomerate tied to the Kremlin which is seeking the research for its own nefarious purposes....

High energy and fast paced
Revisado: 04-07-19
Parker is a developer of a new type of artificial intelligence. It is set to turn the world on its ear. Then his dad dies and Parker has to go home. This is something he has not done for a very long time. Parker and his dad did not see eye to eye. His dad owned amusement parks which kept whales on display and Parker did not agree with this practice. They actually had not spoken in quite a long time.
After his dad’s death, Parker learns the amusement parks are to be sold, underhandedly I might add…to Russia no less! While all of this is occurring, Parker is steadily trying to learn more about how whales communicate. His artificial intelligence is actually helping with this. Plus, Parker’s autistic brother seems to have a lot of insight into this phenomenon. How? It is a mystery to all involved. And everyone is racing to find out.
There is a lot going on in this tale. It is action packed. With murders and mysterious circumstances…what is not to love! Plus I loved the science in this book….yes I am a nerd! This is very well researched and I definitely learned a tremendous amount about whales.
Super good, high energy read! DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!
I received this novel in audiobook format from the author for a honest review.

Different
Revisado: 06-22-18
This was a little different read than I am used to. And I can just about read anything. The story was unique and interesting but the characters were a little disconnected. I did not like any of them much. There is a lot of crude language which seemed to be more for shock value. I did enjoy the book. Just stilted and rough around the edges.

Historia
Twenty-two-year-old Oscar is a lost cause. He roams central London, looking for love and distraction. But this isn't quite Bright Lights, Big City: Oscar is gay but feels disconnected from London's gay scene. He is naive and rootless, an emotionally stunted young man who lives in upscale Kensington with his foster mother, novelist Charlotte Fontaine. But all of this changes when he meets Tim, Charlotte's 3--something literary agent with whom Oscar becomes hopelessly infatuated.

Coming of age
Revisado: 05-11-18
This is a coming of age novel about Oscar. He is really finding himself as he explores his sexuality.
I did find Oscar a little whiney and all he cares about is sex and who is having sex. So it was a little monotonous. I wanted so much more for him. I also wanted himto expect more out of himself.
I did laugh out loud in places and I see some real brilliance in the author’s writing. But, all the focus on sex annoyed me. The author had some great quotes and showed some great idealism. I am anxious to see how this author grows.

A twist on Robin Hood.
Revisado: 11-19-17
A different take on Robin Hood. Robin has a band of rebels. They are fighting against a king who really could care less about his subjects. Robin’s band of rebels agree to join forces with another group...there is a unique twist. Robin is a girl and this girl is tough and she can hit a target with her bow and arrow better than any man. Well, Robin and the leader of the other band fall in love. This does not stop them from reaching their goals. I enjoyed many aspects of this read. The story is interesting and very unique. I especially enjoyed the historical aspects. It is a little overly dramatic in places but all in all a pretty good tale!
