Historia
From his humble beginnings in St. Joseph, Missouri, Bill Snyder rose to greatness, bringing K-State up from the ashes to a number one ranking, six 11-win seasons in a span of seven years, and one Big 12 Championship. He still wasn’t finished. After a three-year retirement, Snyder returned to lead the Wildcats to another Big 12 title. In 2015, he became just the fourth person in college football history to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as an active coach. In this new memoir, Snyder reflects on a successful yet complicated life

Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Pompous and hypocritical.
Revisado: 05-04-22
Narration was solid. Quite often as others have stated presents opinion as fact. I believe he is well read on the subject and is a gifted storyteller, but he see's things through a worldview that won't let in any idea that is contrary. He clearly thinks modern man and modern culture is bankrupt. Yet he speaks glowingly of hunter gatherer tribes who kill young boys for crying or bury young girls alive for being funny looking. He then goes on to describe all these cultural quirks that aren't necessarily good or bad, but seem to fit his ancient utopian ideal, and decides he can't judge them and they are fine fine people, not like the moderns anyways. I certainly believe you can criticize plenty of things about modern culture, but don't hold people unaccountable for barbaric practices while doing so.

Too much filler
Revisado: 01-16-17
There are some good ideas in here to be sure, but they are stretched too thin for me. I think there is enough there for a good chapter or two but the author could have been a lot more succinct and not left anything out
