Historia
Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.
Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle - and people in general - has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands.

Thoroughly enjoyable
Revisado: 04-12-22
I thoroughly enjoyed this book mostly because of the work of the narrator Kathleen Wilhoite. Blown away by her multiple voices and especially by her singing of the Christmas carol.

But in real life, she's an actress in need of a break from her real-life philandering husband - the megastar who plays her romantic interest in the movies. So she heads across the English Channel to hide in Paris behind a new haircut, fake eyeglasses, and a waitressing job at her best friend's restaurant.

I don’t usually review the books I listen to, but this one was just so much fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great story and performance was spot on.

Enjoyed the readers performance the most!
Revisado: 03-27-12
Would you listen to Don't Make Me Choose Between You and My Shoes again? Why?
No. One listen was enough to pick up the story.
What did you like best about this story?
The interaction between the 2 main characters.
What does Peggity Price bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?
Her grasp of the Southern accent added so much to the reading. Wouldn't get that in a book.
If you could take any character from Don't Make Me Choose Between You and My Shoes out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Matt. All-around nice guy.
