The male narrator was very good, The female was iffy at best. She inhaled loudly every single sentence like she was winded the whole time. And her male voices were so cringey. It sucks I like the story and don’t have time to read? So I’m sort of stuck with it 😂 I really really wish they would redo this with a duet style narration where the female does all the feminine voices and the male did all the masculine voices. They can still do the pov changes at each chapter. Overall the story is very good and I’m definitely invested in it. It’s just the female narrator that is turning me off from it.

Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Narration was perfect IMO
Revisado: 05-17-23
Stina I feel characterized Nesta brilliantly. I will agree that she may not be the best for the other characters? But Stina voiced Nesta EXACTLY how I imagined she would sound. Without going into details and spoilers. Stina nailed the “wounded animal” persona that is Nesta. And the strain in her voice during the tense parts made my heart race. I felt there, I felt like I was in her head. I love Silver Flames so so so much. And relate with Nesta on so many things. I think her character development is beautiful. It’s scary, saddening, joyful, and so wonderful a metamorphosis.
As far as the troubles with narration others are having? I assumed it was because Nesta in the beginning didn’t care about a lot, she was void of light, sound, and color. I think she didn’t pay attention or care much for the others so if she was telling this story to another person? She wouldn’t imitate their voices properly. Feyre sounded so benevolent and pious because that’s how Nesta imagined her to be.
Overall I think if you can get over the narrator not imitating voices exactly? You will love this book and really love Nesta before the end. ❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait for more from SJM

Not terrible, not fantastic.
Revisado: 02-03-23
Overall I feel the main character is relatable, and snarky. The flow of her internal dialogue was awesome. The only part that I don’t like is how adhd and her medications are sort of demonized. It’s “amphetamines” “they’re dangerous” sort of insinuated she was an addict. Maybe I’m taking it too personally? But it seemed off to me.
The story line was gripping. You feel her anxiety and tension not knowing what truly happened. It was very good.

Narrator is VERY soft spoken
Revisado: 09-28-22
The story so far is good. The back and forth from the past to the present is a little confusing. But not hard to keep up with. The female narrator is very soft spoken, almost like it was an after editing mishap. The sound “fades” in and out sometimes. If you are hard of hearing this may not be the book for you. I’ve had to have the volume wayyyy up for the chapters she reads.
