Entertaining story, obnoxious performance

I’m really enjoying this story, present tense because I’m obviously still listening BUT the actor who is performing Kate and Meredith has the most obnoxious voice I’ve ever heard and does not do a good job at performing. I feel like I’m listening to a children’s story or some annoying toddler show on Netflix, listening to her voice and the way she delivers lines.
At this point, I’m just powering through to find out what happens but… Who chose this actor?!?

I remember the hype of this series when it came out- I tried to listen to the audio book years ago and the narration turned me all the way off. Couldn’t listen to it anymore. Nearly 10 years later I try to listen again and it’s garbage. The girl reading it has such a “nail on chalkboard” voice and the small vocabulary of the description in this book make it pretty unbearable.
Don’t waste your money or credits.

It was incredibly short, and basically only grazed the top of the reason one would buy this book.
I was so hopeful. The story she told was interesting and makes me wish even more that it explains how to get yourself to that point, but instead I was left wanting.

Boring AF

I originally found this story on Netflix and watched the season. It was an excellent story and well made. Then I saw it was a book so I downloaded it... it’s written in more of a diary sort of way which could have been good had the reader not been so boring! It literally put me to sleep every time. Literally to sleep. It reminded me of a 7th grade history class where each student takes turns reading their paragraph of a boring chapter no one cared to put any emphasis into!
All in all, don’t waste your money or your credits. This one is for Netflix.
